OK, so i'll agree I misquoted the pronouns, but I got the actual message correct...

And they put lots of effort into it, but they are about to be as important as LaughingPlace.com (yes, I have heard they relaunched message boards and modernized them ... but that should have happened a decade ago. They are dead. Having a total con man as your top insider, who took money and ran with his fanzine, didn't help.)

Speaking of credit.. there much be a huge echo in here.. (posted at 9am today...)
The machine that created him no longer exists... he was a pawn from the start.. and it's run its course. Miceage will be the next laughingplace in the next 3-5 years.

Don't forget Alien Encounter, even though I never tried it when I had the chance because I was scared

As much as I love Space Mountain, Alien Encounter is still my favorite WDW attraction. I was lucky enough to work at WDW and after work, I made my way to the Magic Kingdom to close off Alien Encounter on its last night in 2003...

RIP S.I.R. and the Alien!

As good a place as any to put this. I'm actually surprised it hasn't been mentioned here at all to my knowledge. New MagicBand designs, including closed attractions.

How long until the ever popular EPCOT Center is included? With every addition to their line of making money off of nostalgia of past attractions I can't help but look back on buying that Maelstrom T with a twinge of regret for feeding the beast.....

First I'm hearing of WRE going to Disneyland.

I actually just had a thought... What if it was resurrected with the tech of Shanghai Pirates? :jawdrop:
Covered in that article series of Passport2Dreams. Land of Legends would also be home to Sleepy Hollow and Windwagon Smith dark-rides and a Paul Bunyan restaurant. Would connect Bear Country to Discovery Bay and solve the dead end issue.

I said something about Horizons MagicBands a couple years ago. I can't believe it took them so long.

Speaking of overpriced junk, does anyone still read Disney Twenty-Three Magazine?

Well doesn't that just put the cherry on the parfait. :bored:

Thanks, Disney, for reminding me about closed attractions I can no longer visit!

They dare to include Kitchen Kabaret or Cranium Command or Horizons or World of Motion or the original Journey -- with Dreamfinder and the Dreamcatcher -- in that Tragic Band lineup... and I'm gonna place one of 'em in Special K where the Florida sun don't shine!

I'm honestly surprised to see Mickey Mouse Revue in there. It's not something I see mentioned a lot. Plus anyone feeling nostalgic would be better served riding Gran Fiesta Tour after its recent additions.

Precisely.

The best hotels WDW runs are 3.5 star, at best. Their "club level" with "concierge service" is an utter joke - it's some snacks laid out and someone to call the same CRO number to make ressies that anyone else can. WDW simply does not offer the luxury experience that they are trying to price it into.

I know folks around these parts just have a hard time comprehending it, but a "theme park vacation" is actually rather low-brow to the upper crust to begin with - and when you get those types in there at those prices and they see how little luxury is available, it is only a matter of time before heavy discounts begin again once someone realizes that they are going after the wrong crowd.
I have to wonder how much of this can be traced to that whole debacle a few years back, when it came to light that 1%ers were hiring special needs tour guides to abuse the system. I get the feeling that Disney decided this was an untapped market and have been trying to find ways ever since to exploit it.

I recently stayed at Westgate over on Turkey Lake. Somehow ended up in a King Sized bed room with jacuzzi, kitchenette, and fantastic view. Great service. Horrible parking.

Highly recommend if you can get a deal. Far beyond anything I've ever gotten at Disney.

I just read the whole thing. Incredible piece. Marc Davis was a certified theme park genius. What I wouldn't do for a new attraction in his style (CBJ is one of my favorite shows on property). Never knew that he fully designed our Pirates and Jungle Cruise. I'll have to watch a video of Tokyo's Pirates but it's late now. I just couldn't stop reading :)
