A Spirited Dirty Dozen ...

So then SWL is going to be the big thing for WDW's 50th Anniversary....which means they will be able to get away with doing a lot less everywhere else in the parks... Sad.
That will absolutely sucks if that's the case. The 50th should be entirely focused on fixing up and upgrading the MK for the occasion. If no significant refurbishments and/or restoration happen in time for the 50th, then I'll be extremely disappointed with Disney.

You should go back to hiding under the rock near your trailer in the desert, Frank. Your tired antics wore out so many years ago why you persist shows a very unhealthy pathology best diagnosed by a mental healthcare professional.

Uh-huh. You keep living in your delusions. Meanwhile I will keep enjoying all the many new projects at WDW. Those can be found in the fun threads.

Kinda regret passing on that lube info. Its validity is questionable, at best, and further clouded an already confusing topic.

Not if it's a fluid coupled joint or a constant velocity joint both of which are far more dependent on clean lubricant in large quantities than conventional articulated joints.

I think the worst concept to come out of this thread is that many of us are coming to the conclusion that it may come to a point of IF WDW will turn back to the right direction, rather than WHEN. Clearly, with Iger, Chapek, and Kalogridis in charge for the next two years, it's not happening before then without an upheaval of galactic proportions. (Just realized the double entendre I wrote, pun not intended)

And that's a HUGE IF because with the exception of Joe Rohde there is no one in management who values the 'Disney Way' any longer.

Who is that dude and why should anyone believe him?
(not saying the info isn't true)

I don't know who he is, but if he's like me, he's getting the info from the new official HKDL app (which looks just like the offical DLR and DLRP apps). When you select an attraction it lists its hours, and big rides like Grizzly, Mystic and RC (among others) are all opening later than the park.

Man, I wanna go stay in that new hotel there so bad once it's finished! I miss HKDL all the time, and I thought for sure it would underwhelm me.

Agreed, and I think you can extend that past management and on to the BoD, who are apparently in the process of seeking out a new CEO, but I highly doubt anyone on there having the vision to find another Walt/Card Walker/Frank Wells/early MDE - and others of that caliber - to lead the company.

They will probably find someone who wants to "unlock shareholder value" and sell of the company piecemeal.

Shops and show buildings are air conditioned comfortably (ride SSE where it is about 83 degrees most days and tell me Disney isn't penny-pinching because tourists are stupid and expect it to be hot in FL).

My last two trips (at least) I've found the back room at the Norway gift shop (first room after you exit the late Maelstrom) to be quite crisp. I'm sure the fact that they are trying to sell winter coats to Florida tourists has nothing to do with it.

Wouldn't Wall Street Dads expect more quality than what Disney is currently offering?

People who for a living look to pay less to get more aren't going to go on vacation to a place where you pay more to get less...
