It's not uncommon recently for everyone to be routed through the metal detectors. I've had that happen occasionally months ago even before the recent terrorist attacks. I visited the day they first kicked off the night safari and they were routing us all through the metal detectors.
ok whatever no source still lolololoooo

Has Disney not released their autumn discounts yet or am I missing something? Don't they normally have the specials announced by now?
I was curious about this too. I didn't know if Disney was trying to do away with the discounts the start of December. It looks like a lot of the resorts are getting booked - why offer discounts if people are buying.

Well, you've seen the menus then?

You seem very food driven.

I've been to Diagon, Hogsmead, the food didn't pull me in, I bought a bottle of water, twice.

If only Universal had known the food was going to be the key, they could have saved a lot of money.

I guess Disney has a lot to learn.

I am food driven. Only reason I step in the Simpsons land is for the big pink from Lard Boys with a flaming moe and for Potter I go through like 12 butterbeers in one visit. Despite what poople think food can make or break an immersive environment. Do you really think they drink Coke in Pandora?

Holly mother of butter batman! That's quite impressive actually.

YES, they drink Coke in Pandora because Coke has the contract to supply the base.:)

See, as I've said before, anyone can understand the idea of a haunted Hollywood hotel. But NOBODY is going to get this Guardians Breakout crap unless they've actually seen the movie, which limits the attraction's appeal right there, and pretty much dates it immediately.

Hey, Chapek? You suck.
obligatory retort..

Chapek would go "but..but.. muh merchandize.. muh marvels products"

We were there yesterday and it was a mess. It reached guest capacity yesterday. At lunchtime, they had run out of ice and the self serve soda machines were dispensing flat sodas.

Also, we had an ice cream incident at the warming shack. They served is bad ice cream. The chocolate was bad, and they lied to us about it. Our day there was horrible. Finally seeing through some of the pixie dust as of late.

The good news is, Universal are opening a water park next year and will probably get it right! Why did you go to BB? You should have gone to a typhoon.... according to the resort bus they have a NEW waterside named Crush n' Gusher! I'm guessing it's only been open a few months tops! :/

Lower Paid CEOs Generate Bigger Returns Than High Flyers: Study
Here’s a novel idea for companies that want to boost the value of their stocks: Pay the CEO less.

That seems to be one of the counter-intuitive lessons from a new study of 429 large-cap U.S. companies: Shareholder returns at the 20% with the lowest CEO compensation outperformed the 20% with the highest pay by as much as 39% over a 10 year period ending in 2015, according to MSCI, a research firm for institutional investors.

“Long-term institutional investors typically bear the cost of this misalignment, yet they have routinely approved CEO pay packages,” MSCI Corporate GovernanceResearch Executive Director Ric Marshall says in a blog post. “Closer scrutiny of the relationship between CEO pay and performance over longer time periods could lead to different conclusions.”

That might surprise the boards of Big Media companies, which famously lavish moguls with eyepopping compensation packages. For example, CBS’ Les Moonves, Viacom’s Philippe Dauman, and Disney’s Bob Iger were among the USA’s 10 highest paid CEOs in 2015.

But MSCI says that its study turned up “very little statistical evidence to support” the proposition that higher pay serves shareholders. Indeed, “we found a small but consistently negative relationship, a possible indicator that superior performance may have been linked to lower rather than higher pay awards.”

Researchers say that company decisions may be distorted by the emphasis on annual reviews and CEO pay reports, which puts too much focus on short term results.

The report calls for additional disclosures in the annual proxy reports that describe top executives’ pay. Among other things, MSCI wants an assessment of executives’ realized pay over their entire tenures, with comparisons to the company performance in the same period. It wants annual updates on realized pay from executives’ stock awards, not just estimates of potential returns.

The firm also wants more details about pay incentives used to hire new CEOs, how that affected other executives’ pay, and one-time equity incentives.

It would be interesting if Disney chose not to serve any soda in Pandora same for Star Wars Land. Although it was a pain when you want something other then Butterbeer (which literally is the best thing ever), that they don't serve anything but Water, Pumpkin Juice, Butterbeer and one other thing I think?

Wasn't that all at the request of Rowling? I don't think Universal would've done that on their own and I'm not expecting Disney to either.

It would be a nice detail though.
