A Spirited Dirty Dozen ...

Remember though that we may not get all of it. There's a possibility that Yoshi's Island could be unique to Japan and Donkey Kong over here. It's pretty confusing so I really hope we just get the official announcement already. The suspense is terrible.
At least for Japan I thought I read over there it was either 2 large rides or 3 with 2 themed flat rides. If we have the same option over here in Orlando I'd go for 2 large rides. Honestly 2020 for USJ and 2021 for USO makes the most sense though

The most recent thing they said was 2 or 3 for Orlando. AFAIK Japan was always 2. I don't think anyone ever gave a specific number for flat rides.

Right now DLR is carrying the division, not WDW.

Let's not confuse the topic of meeting targets... with actual dollars. Other divisions being down doesn't mean they are smaller relative to each other.. it means they are off their targets. The guy picking up the slack doesn't have to be the majority or biggest piece to do so.. only pick up the slack.

I'm counting down the days 'til August 27th of next year...

I expect some hot and bothered wand wavers.

Pandora I'm guessing....I'm not going to be bothered. The land will be visual and potentially technologically stunning but it will lack nostalgia and the the food and beverage options that made Potter so popular which is the main people aren't realizing made potter such a success. It wasn't just making a full immersive land, it was taking that land, channeling the things that made it beloved by people and then creating unique and delicious food and beverage options that actually fit the location and story.

Very close...

It's the days between announcement and groundbreaking.

Doesn't personally bother me for either project, but a certain sect of fan was extremely critical of a certain project's lengthy timeline.
Or even initial vague announcement and later detailed announcement. How long was that for Avatar?

Sat 7/23 Blizzard beach is out of parking.

As of 1:09pm Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park parking lot has reached capacity. Guests arriving will be directed to alternate parking at Animal Kingdom Guest Lot where they will use Resort transportation to return to Blizzard Beach Water Park.

Nearly the same amount of time. It wasn't until the Fall Tokyo D23 2013 when real info was released. Groundbreaking was Jan 10 2014. So sometime next Spring would put it on the same timeline.

We'll see, but there certainly sounds like no plans to start groundbreaking for Nintendo in the immediate 6-9 months.

We were there yesterday and it was a mess. It reached guest capacity yesterday. At lunchtime, they had run out of ice and the self serve soda machines were dispensing flat sodas.

Also, we had an ice cream incident at the warming shack. They served is bad ice cream. The chocolate was bad, and they lied to us about it. Our day there was horrible. Finally seeing through some of the pixie dust as of late.

Sorry to hear about your experiences at BB and MK this trip down to WDW. The level of service sounds like it's really falling off here lately. Is it because the areas are understaffed or the staff doesn't care? Kind of depressing.

Whoa, look at the size of that platform!

Makes me like it even more that they went with King Kong 2005 for the ride. I know the new one is supposed to fight Godzilla eventually so the size was inevitable but imo he's too huge for King Kong. Maybe I'll grow to like this depiction but for now it seems off. Everything else looks pretty cool and it could end up being a good movie. I did really like the new Godzilla.

Well, you've seen the menus then?

You seem very food driven.

I've been to Diagon, Hogsmead, the food didn't pull me in, I bought a bottle of water, twice.

If only Universal had known the food was going to be the key, they could have saved a lot of money.

I guess Disney has a lot to learn.

Not sure anyone knows what's happening at DAK tonight but the rerouted everyone through metal detector security. Then on KRR it was closed but they didn't evacuate the queue then reopened it saying they needed to get everyone in line on asap then they closed it 2 minutes later... The cm's were clearly distressed
source: nothing lol
