Disney was boycotted by Baptists in the 90s for giving partners of gay employees health benefits.

Yep, and most Baptists with whom I speak had no idea it was going on. Hence their outrage at my bumper sticker:
"To Hell With the Baptists; I'm Going to Disney World!"
They finally gave up their lame protest when they realized they were only hurting themselves, under the flimsy guise of: "Disney is making the Chronicles of Narnia movies just to make us happy!"

To be perfectly honest I've never seen half the Disney movies. Only some from the 90s and from Frozen onward. Never seen Snow White, Pinocchio etc.

After my initial surprise, I actually applaud you for being a classic Disney fan. The theme parks are more than 'gay days for toon fans', not a comic con for Disney animation enthusiasts. (And by 'more' I don't mean 'also fans of Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars and the Fox stable')

One could replace 'exploring an official event' by 'exploiting an unofficial event'.

I think UNI sees a successful unofficial mass event and tries to cash in on it. Why let tens of thousands of gays have a party in your house, for free? Better to charge them for it. Make it an up charged after hours event.

Disney is too chicken to do it also, so UNI has the market all to themselves. (Except that gays are bored out of their mind with Fast and Furious, but by default in love with Disney. Maybe UNI can built a Fast and Fabulous overlay)
