I really wish this were true but the demographic and political reality of modern day America strongly indicates that it is not.
Disney is following a much wiser path by not overtly taking sides on the matter.

Disney was boycotted by Baptists in the 90s for giving partners of gay employees health benefits.

But the question in my opinion is why have a party specifically for gays if it excludes everyone else? Anyone can get a ticket for MNsSHp or MVMCP, but a party just for gays would be exclusive to most people. The way they could make it work is by making a gay straight alliance celebration. I remember in High School they had a gay straight alliance club for everyone to join. I think that's the way to go for Disney. Edit: I would definitely attend a gay straight alliance celebration, but not a gay day.

I don't think any of the Gay Days events were ever advertised as being exclusively for gays, and most of the meetups are essentially informal meetings in public places or during/among normal park operating days. This is what leads to the always-amusing way Disney offers free t-shirts to guests who unwittingly wore red that day. What private events do go on, like Riptide, have never been closed to straight people.

To be perfectly honest I've never seen half the Disney movies. Only some from the 90s and from Frozen onward. Never seen Snow White, Pinocchio etc.
