A little info on the Fantasyland Expansion.

I had heard that County Boounty was staying, but the condition of the tents was terrible and there were rotting problems.

I've never spent enough time back in Toontown Fair to notice the shape of the tents.

Depending on the material chosen, I can imagine that fabric structures aren't holding up real well after 15 years...

The splash mountain comment is really throwing me off. Could anyone maybe help me here? Are we looking at a massive rehab/redo of Splash Mountain? Or another attraction near Splash Mountain? HELP! :ROFLOL:

Anyone know anything about Splash Mountain?

If Lee's sources are correct, none of the following would surprise me:
  • Snow White's Scary Adventures closes for princesses
  • The Fantasyland Stroller Disco (Aka Skyway) becomes a version of Pixie Hollow
  • The Mystery attraction that's taking the place of the Chateau's is themed around Snow White.

This is speculation at this point, so by no means take it as fact.

This sounds very logical to me.

If a new Snow White attraction happens (diamond mine ride---wonderful idea or a hybrid flume, or whatever), it seems like they could just re-use the existing figures and sets, cutting down on the cost.

Getting the Tinker Bell section closer to the Peter Pan ride also makes sense.

Finding Nemo is "classic"? If anything it's a good franchise that the company decided to beat guests to death with.

For me it is! The Nemo ride at Epcot is one of my Top 2 in that park, and the film itself is my favorite Pixar movie. The characters and story are IMO iconic, charming, warm, beloved, cute, funny, and yes, classic.

However, I listed the ride under the name "Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage" merely because that is what it is currently called. I could have just listed it as "Submarine Voyage", to emphasize my point that by bringing back the Subs with the Nemo theme, they brought back a CLASSIC, which is the Subs themselves!

Exactly. Details of theming aside, DL is still running its classic submarine ride while MK's is part of Yesterworld.

A couple thoughts:

Wasn't Pixie Hollow to have included a dark ride and a version of "Mater's Junkyard Jamboree"?

With the removal of SWA and no rumors of the MJJ spinner making it into the new plans, FL is indeed going to have one less ride than it would have in the original FL plans.

Or is it possible the MJJ spinner could show up in Dumbo's Circus to fill in that area?

Is it also possible that the "Mystery Ride" will have the same or better capacity than SWA, MJJ, and the PH dark ride had combined? (At the end of the day, it's all about capacity over quantity)

Another point to consider: Staggs said the new budget will be only slightly higher than the original.

That means the "Mystery Ride" will at least be the same cost as the orginal M&Gs.

Any other money for it would have to come from the PH dark ride (if it truly existed) and the MJJ spinner (if it has been cancelled).

Of course, there would be some minor cost savings on the "Mystery Ride" if the old sets and figures from SWA were re-used in, say, a Seven Dwarves Mine setting (which, like the "Tangled" title change, could set this apart from being strictly a "princess" thing)

But Lee and others have apparently not heard that Seven Dwarves Mine is coming (and was it even designed for another park, as others have suggested the Mystery Ride is?
)

So one last (crazy) possibility for funding: could SWA be "sold" and relocated to another Disney park, with proceeds going to the Mystery Ride (or would the track, vehicles, ride controls, sets, and figures be fairly worthless and cheaper to build from scratch?)

Where has Steve been during all this madness??

I wish he would jump in here and try to shed some clarity on all the rumors and speculation. Talk of closing Snow White, adding mine coasters, not adding mine coasters, pixie hollow not coming at all or moving to skyway, new mystery attraction, no more M&G's and on and on...

Steve...our leader....help ussss!!! :hammer:

PH had several incarnations, some with the spinning ride (Bobble and Clank's Whirl and Twirl), some with just elaborate M&Gs.

Eliminating PH, in either version, along with cutting the giant Cinderella/Aurora complex, results in quite a large budget available for Ride X.

Somebody needs to inform the construction crews because they are proceeding with all due haste on Cindy's and Aurora's Chateau and Mill House.

At least as of August 14th.

Why would Disney sell a ride to itself?

The only Disney resort I'm aware of with any outside ownership is the one in Tokyo, and they already have a Snow White ride.

You have no proof and are making horrible assumptions and statements.

Ermm...no.

1. Former Ariel's Grotto
2. Belle/Be Our Guest/Gaston's
3. Mermaid
4. Former site of chateau

Please define "due haste".

I'm not sure you should be accusing anyone of lacking proof. Because you have provided zero proof.

Like I said, just compare the latest aerial photo to the blueprint. Now THAT is tangible proof. Maybe everything has changed since Aug 14th but as of that date the were building the FLE as announced.

You're blatant ignorance is laughable :lol::lol:

Time to give it up, jt.
