With the 4th coming up, I was wondering what goes on inside WDW to celebrate. We've never been there. Has anyone been there during the 4th?

All I have heard is that there is a HUGE fireworks display, not wishes, but a different one...and that is just MK. What about the other parks?

in the last few yrs we have tried every park for the 4th.

AK- they do not have FW.
MK- is an awesome display, they go off around the borders of the park, they pretty much circle around you.
Epcot- Is the 2nd best display with illuminations.
DHS- you could probably see better at a local event back home.

The only problem we found is that if it rained earlier and it was humid the smoke from the fireworks lingers and sometimes makes it hard to see them.

We've spent to 4ths at WDW, the fireworks are unlike anything you have ever seen. We learned our lesson the second year and watched them from THe Contemporary.

Do the parks usually close for capacity on the 4th? We've been debating going to EPCOT, but I don't get out of work til 3, do you think we'd still get in? Is it worth the hassle if we live close by?
Thanks!
