40th Anniversary RUMORS

I too was scratching my head, especially at the La Nouba one, since there has been no real concrete news that the show was doing poorly.
Ireland falls into the UK, so I see a new country as unnecessary.
I think the Classic Disney fireworks show with no Pixar movies is a bit of a stretch as well. If Disney were to devote a fireworks show to classic animation, they would definitely use some Pixar movies, as many of them are already classics.
I would like to see a lot of these happen but some just seem too far fetched, but they did come from a CM, so I guess I shouldn't really be suprised. :lol:

Is there a better way to celebrate a milestone? These things all sound like they're just going to happen by the 40th but don't really have anything to do with it.
New retro merchandise? But I thought WDW wasn't the "nostalgia" park? I mean it's just 40 right, not 50.

The Plot Thickens. . . After five husbands and five untimely deaths, the Black Widow Bride of the Haunted Mansion will wed once more. Has she found her soul mate? Or will another groom meet his doom? Join us, Foolish Mortals, and we'll dig up the answers at our ghostly celebration that everyone's dying to attend.
Event packages are as follows:
Grinning Ghosts - $475
Foolish Mortals - $430
Dearly Departed - $250
Hitchhikers - $85
Early Demise Offer:
Guests that register through February 28th only, will receive an "early demise" pin.
Reservations for the Grinning Ghosts and Foolish Mortals packages will be accepted only via www.DisneyGallery.com beginning Tuesday, January 20, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. (Pacific Time).
Reservations for the Dearly Departed and Hitchhikers packages will be accepted only via www.DisneyGallery.com beginning Wednesday, January 21, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. (Pacific Time).
Please note: We are now required to have only one (1) Guest per reservation. It will be necessary for each Guest to register individually. Thank you!

I would think that with the amount of americans with Irish heritage or at least think they do adding this one would be a no-Brainer.
But these are only rumours, oh and my bus driver told me they're gonna build a new villains themed par.. no wait we debunked that one...

The rumors I've heard......
I think Disney is gonna have to come up with some better stuff than that to celebrate the 4oth, and to also compete with the new Harry Potter Theme Park over at Universal. And actually, I don't foresee much of that stuff happening anyway.
I heard that the new world at Epcot will be Russia, not Ireland. They already have the United Kingdom, ya know.
Also, I heard there will be a new section....possibly Australia?...in the Camp Mickey Minnie section of Animal Kingdom. Notice taht Pocahontas recently closed, and in the near future I think we will see some construction going on back there.
I also heard there will be a new Monsters Inc roller coaster in Hollywood Studios, and possibly an extremely cool indoor coaster in the back of Japan....supposed to be interactive....like how "honey, i shrunk the audience" and "tough to be a bug" are, but taking place on a roller coaster. I REALLY hope that one works out, cause that will be incredible!
And lastly, i heard about a Little Mermaid ride in the Magic Kingdom....i was told to think about the area where 20,000 leagues used to be. Don't know if that means they will re-open it and make it a sub ride---seriously doubt it---or that is just the area that it will happen.
So those are my rumors. Enjoy.
