4 young women, upgrade to a mod?

We now may have 4 people in total for our trip (if we only have 3 we will be staying a pop). But if we have 4 should we upgrade to a moderate resort, i think it might be better to have two sinks in the morning. Are the rooms bigger? We wont be spending alot of time in the rooms, just to get ready in the morning. We would like a nice pool though, and im thinking a moderate might have less little ones running around if we spend time by the pool.
Ive looked at the pricing online, and if we do have 4 people we would be paying about the same to stay at a moderate resort pp, then if we had 3 at pop.

I believe I would upgrade. The Moderate rooms are 314 square feet, values are 260 square feet. That's a pretty good size difference. Plus, when you spread out the cost between the four of you it will not hurt your pocket that much.

One thing to keep in mind, if you want two sinks make sure you stay at CBR, POFQ, or POR. From what I have read in The Unofficial Guide and have seen on Allearsnet.com the rooms at CS have only one sink.

I would recommend the moderate resort.
We stayed at POR in 2006 & it was great.
The rooms are a little bigger than the value resorts.
Two sinks are definitely a plus w/ 4 people.
The pools did seem more quiet & nicer at the moderate.

Big difference in the "Feel" of the resort between the Moderate and Value priced ones. You'll definitely be impressed. There isn't one of them that isn't great, but I prefer POR or CBR.

Go for the upgrade. I have only stayed at the values once. But the "feel" factor the previous poster talked about was very noticable between the values and moderates. The Mods IMHO are very laid back and quiet. POFQ is my fav because of the size. They only have 1008 rooms. Get a room on the ground floor of any building, your feet will thank you at the end of the day!!!

I would upgrade to a moderate. My first choice would be CSR since they have queen beds. It is a great resort and would go back there any day.

I would upgrade to POR. the rooms are a lot bigger and nicer and the pools will definitely be quieter if you choose one of the smaller ones and not the main one. You might even like POFQ too.

I vote upgrade as well. With the rooms being bigger at the moderates, you won't be on top of each other trying to get ready. My fav is POR. I especially like the laid back feel to the Alligator Bayou area. Check out pics of the rooms on Allears. Deb has loads of photos of the rooms.

Thanks everyone im going to take a look at all the resorts! Ive always wanted to stay at Coranado Springs, does anyone have any thoughts about it? The food court seems diffrent then the rest.

I think right now where we only have 3 confirmed, were going to book pop, then when the 4th finds out we will upgrade (we can do that right if we just call our travel agent?)

Just remember that Coronado does not offer double sinks. You mentioned a double sink would be bonus, it might be something to consider.

The CSR is our favorite resort. We have stayed seven times (just back last month) and have already booked #8 for next September. The Coronado does not have double sinks, but the sink counter is huge. They have also upgraded to queen size beds in all rooms (that don't have king beds). Feel free to PM me with any questions and I'll be happy to answer.

With 4 people, I would definitely not go with one room at the Value level unless finances dictate nothing else would do. I will suggest perhaps a family suite at the All Star Music as an option as well?? Two bathrooms in the morning for four young ladies might make a big difference when getting ready. Plus the sleeping arrangements might be worth looking at. In the Values or Moderates there are two full sized beds so you would have to share. As previously posted some of the rooms at Coronado have been upgraded to 2 Queen size beds but there is no guarantee of getting one of those rooms, although it can be requested. I will tell you that I love the moderate level and stay in that level more frequently than anywhere else. I think it is the perfect combo of theming, amenities and price. Belle
