Trip Report 30 Disney First's to Celebrate my 30th Birthday! January '13 Trip Report.

Hellooooo Humans! Welcome to my 30th birthday trip report. On this trip it was myself, my mom, my nanny and my best friend joined in for a few days! He will be making his first appearance in my trip reports.

A little preview of my birthday photo shoot!

And some MGM, I mean Hollywood Studios love!

Funny story goes with this picture when we get to that day!

We stayed at Pop Century from January 13th-20th. We had a preferred pool view, because my nanny said that she needed a good view. Not that she spent much time taking advantage of the view. LOL.

We had free dining, but also had quite a few meals that we paid for out of pocket using my Tables in Wonderland card. We had 12 meals booked in total. I was using my Annual Pass again, so was my mom. My nanny used our tickets from the free dining package.

We pre-purchased the PhotoPass+. Overall I enjoyed it. I loved having my pictures from the meals and Buzz Lightyear.

Over the course of the trip, we noticed that there were a lot of firsts happening. Thus, the title of this here trip report! I will try to remember to highlight each first in pink. Maybe ya'll can help me count along. We may even reach more than 30!

Dinner was at Sci Fi Dine In. This was the first time my bestie would join me for dinner here. I tried to order two hot dogs the way they come on the Picnic burger, sliced in half and grilled. Unfortunately, the waiter had no clue what I meant.

This started our photo shoot at Sci Fi. A random waiter stopped by and took pictures with my camera for me. He then request a picture of the took of us in the back. He asked are you two married?

No.......
Dating?

No.......
Friends with benefits?

This would be our reaction to that last question. We cracked up laughing. This Disney waiter just asked us, in the middle of a Disney restaurant, in a Disney park, if we were friends with benefits. I just can't get over the fact that he said it so casually. It was the highlight of the dinner, believe me. I still crack up every time I see that picture or think of that waiter.

After dinner we had another Photopass photo shoot!

As much as I do not like the placement of the hat, I do have to say, it is quite photogenic at night.

Making our way to the buses!

We wanted to head over to DTD. We were trying to decide the best way to get there. Well, a CM at the bus depot overheard us. He told us to get on a certain bus, that would take us to Saratoga Springs and then DTD. Now we all know that there isn't a bus from Hollywood Studios to DTD, but he insisted. We get on the bus and once we arrive at Saratoga Springs, the bus driver tells us that he can only take us to the closest bus stop to DTD. So we had to walk from Saratoga Springs all the way around to DTD. I do not recommend this to anyone. That was my first and last time doing that.

I was having fun in the Christmas store!

Ornaments!

Mickeys!

At some point this evening we stopped at Ghiradelli's. I ordered a chocolate and peanut butter milkshake. I had no clue they put a whole chocolate bar in the shake. I barely finished half of it, but it was so delish! We ate our snack at a little table by the water and had a blast just hanging out.

We finally made our way back to POP. My bestie was spending the night with us. Another first! We were all trying to get ready for bed and right at midnight they sang Happy Birthday to me! For all who are counting we added 5 more firsts. Bringing us to 22 total. We are definitely going to bypass the 30 mark!

Tomorrow is the day this trip was all for, My 30th Birthday!

Okay so fail on me I still haven't seen Saving Mr. Banks...I need to see it!

And I still love the Backlot Tour too! Especially after I've been in the opening scene! :)

Push buttons on Toy Story??? That's the first time I've ever seen those!!!!!!

Ahhh thank you for that picture of my Tower :) Do you know i have a phone case now with my beautiful tower on it? Yes I love it! I had it made out of a picture I took myself.

OMG I can't believe you were that close to Beau Wrangler! You had a good view there :p:inlove:

Hah I love how the CM at Sci-fi said that so casually! LOL.

And Can I ask you what setting to you use to take those night pics at DHS?

And I've done that bus to Saratoga and go to DtD except we eventually found the boat dock thanks to this nice guy heading the same way. but I wouldn't do that ever again either! Sucked!

Can't wait to read about your 30th birthday!!!! :D

Shame on you! I LOVE Saving Mr Banks!

Push buttons are only available on a few Toy Story vehicles. You will only get one if you go through the wheelchair line.

Where did you make the phone case? I would love a Disney one for my phone.

Of course I got close to Beau! Every view of him is good! :inlove:

That guy was hilarious at Sci-Fi. I still can't get over him saying that.

Which picture in particular? I will have to go look up my settings.

My pictures for my birthday just finished uploading. I may have some up in the next few days. Be ready for a whole bunch of Photopass pictures. I couldn't decide which ones I liked the most, so I'm sharing them all. ;)

Oh wow! Didn't realize that. That's awesome though.

I made the phone case through CafePress. I love it! It was great being able to use one of my own pictures for it! They have it on shutterfly, vistaprint too but I found cafepress to be the cheapest and of course I waited until they had like 40% off in addition to what it was. With shipping I paid 19.95 total I think..it was like 7 bucks to ship.

Particularly the pics of the Crossroad neons :) They just look awesome! And the ones of the hat too actually!

And nothing wrong with sharing all of the photopass pictures! :)

The Crossroad neon pictures were F4.5, ISO 200 and Shutter Speed 1/50.

Those pictures were all unedited also.

Today is My 30th Birthday. The reason for the whole trip. I decided that if I had to turn 30 I wanted to be at the Magic Kingdom when it happened. Today would be the first time I was spending my Birthday in WDW! Breakfast was at Crystal Palace again this morning, of course. I made this one for a little after 9, so we could watch the Opening Show!

I love the morning show. I was super excited to watch it this morning.

Good Morning, Good Morning!

Look they even had fireworks this morning for my Birthday!

We had a little PhotoPass photo shoot this morning.

This was the first time we had shirts made at the store in DTD. My shirt said Today is my 30th Birthday! My mom's said Today is my Daughter's 30th Birthday. My nanny's said Today is my Goddaughter's 30th Birthday. My best friend's said Today is my Best Friend's 30th Birthday. Everyone loved them. Whenever someone would see one of their shirts, they would ask where I was. It was hysterical to hear them question where the birthday girl was.

I asked everyone to wear Mickey ears this morning. These were my bestie's first set of Mickey ears. He was so excited that he got to pick any that he wanted.

This was definitely the day that we took the most Photopass pictures. There will be many more later on in the day.

Tinkerbell came to wish me Happy Birthday!

Time to finally head on down to Crystal Palace. Did you really think I would have breakfast anywhere else?

My Birthday confetti!

It was getting quite foggy outside.

My favorite! What more could a girl ask for? Spending my 30th birthday in my favorite place, eating my favorite breakfast with my bestie sitting across from me. This was his first time joining us at Crystal Palace. Which is quite odd, considering how much we eat there.

Happy Birthday To Me!

Mickey waffle and Pooh's puffed french toast! Best birthday breakfast ever!

No need to make any more wishes, they were already coming true!

My mom and her boyfriend. No, really, she loves this Indian.

The group behind her was very confused on why she was taking a picture with the Indian. We could hear them talking to each other about it.

Time for some Birthday shopping! I may have went a little overboard.

These two pictures were taken from the same spot. I was showing off my zoom on my camera.

At this point my bestie and I headed over to Fantasyland to meet some characters.

I love Maleficent! She truly is the Mistress of all Evil.
