Well, just got back from Downtown Disney and big changes.
The new Boys and Girls rooms are open.
First, the boys....there is a main entrance, on the corner of the building. Above the entrance is a giant Stich. Stich periodically squirts water. Normally it would be really cool, but it was cold today, not fun...
As you enter this entrance, on each side, there are stone walls, with cursed pirates (from PoC;BP) and the same fire effect from the ride. Above each wall is a cursed Jack Sparrow and a cursed Barbosa. Really, really cool.
The room is decorated in mostly pirates, with a new center piece to the room. In the middle, there is a AA pirate and parrot who does a spiel every few minutes. Around the pirate are some new Build-Your-Own merchandise stands. Two of them are fill your own skull and fill your own treasure chest. You have an assortment of squishy, bloody eyes and brains, snakes & bugs, plastic gems, etc....boys stuff. I think they were like $16 for both, with as much stuff as you can fit in them. The other one was a build your own pirate hat. These are just like the build your own crowns for the girls, but with pirate stuff. You had a choice of two types of hats (normaly pirate and Jack Sparrow style), a couple bandanas, and some dreads. They have an assortment of patches, feathers, do-dads (including a plastic Aztec medallion). The only problem, the hats were all too small.
They kept playing music from Pirates, Incredibles, etc.... They had a video game station for playing and some new PoC merchandise tied in with the movie. Pretty cool....
After this, we moved to the new girls room....like the Boys room, there is a new AA in the middle of the Girls room. This AA is of a small girl in a Sleeping Beauty outfit. The registred were moved from the middle of the room (were the AA is at now) and moved closer to the rooms outside entrance.
Between this room and the candy room, there is a side room for the Boutique. The ladies who work the boutique are called Fairy Godmothers and looks just like a beauty shop/spa. There were a ton of little girls, it was really cute. They were doing things like hair coloring, glitter, braids, makeup, etc....
Where the stuffed Mickey's were (the giant Alice), they have a new section of priness themed merchandise (but not specific to certain princess). The girls do have some new build-your-own areas also. You can fill a small bag or jewelry box with an assortment of rings, necklaces, and bracelets. There is also a new build-your-own wand area. This one includes different things for the middle of the wand (it is clear), toppers, and other do-dads. There were also some other specific princess merchandise, I did notice new lightup wands (right beside the build-your-own wands, weird placing).
They moved the Sleeping Beauty and Cinderella statues outside, on either side of the door. The display window behind the statues matched the princess. The only problem, they had banners above each statue, they had the banners on the opposite side, it was funny. Above the outside entrance to the room (beside the Lego store), is a giant frame of Cinderella's carriage. It is basically just a wire frame, to match the similar style of the other things on the roof.
One more thing about the Boutique....over at the Art of Disney/Scrapbook store, they have a small Photo/Picture studio setup. This was so the newly primped Princesses could come by and get a professional photo session.
Pooh's Corner is pretty much gone. They changed the sign to say "World of Disney, Kids". This is just a bunch of the toys that didn't fit in with the Princess or Pirates theme. I don't think Pooh's Corner will be returning, but the room theming is still there.
All in all, it was really cool....especially the AAs in the two rooms. Really cool....there was only one bad thing.....I didn't have my camera
