Location...

We're all familiar with the walkways around the shop. Let's say it's an "L" if you look at it from the waterfront. The one walkway has Basin and the Mickey terra cotta pot fountain. The other is the main pathway for Marketplace and leads to the lego store and ghiradelli.

In the past, where those two walkways meet, there was a section of the store in the corner that varied from men's clothing to being all household/kitchen stuffs. That corner now has a door, and it is the boys adventure room.

Going toward Lego, the same side facing the lake, the other corner block is now the Princess area, and it has always had a doorway.

The photos were taken this morning. I will give some comments but if you have any questions about them just ask. Overall I thought the makeover was very well done. And I'm thrilled to see new Animatronics being used.

Animatronic Pirate in the center of the Adventure room. He and the bird both talk every few minutes. The barrel infront of him also opens and a skull pops up. I thought it was very cool and well done. He says a few different things.





Very cool lighting effect on the wall.



There are pirates behind bars on both sides of the entrance corridor. Like the OP said they used the same fire effect from the ride behid them. Also every now and then they pull back and forth on the bars.



The Princess Room

Animatronic Princess in the center of the Princess room. She is not as impressive as the pirate but still a very nice touch.

Also here is the new Stitch figure outside the Adventure Room. Stitch spits water on passing guests much like the Adventureland Camels.

Those AA are not what I was expecting... how are the movements? Everything else looks good!!! I wish I didn't have to wait till Sept to see it all.

The movements on the Pirate were pretty good, especially for an AA in a gift store. His hands and arms move as does his head and neck. Obviously his mouth moves when he talks and his eyes moved and he blinks. Overall I thought he was very well done. The princess was not as good but still nice. Her movements were a little more limited.

What exactly were you expecting? Any AA at all was far more than I was expecting for this store makeover.

I thought this was going to be about restrooms too!!!

It took me a while to catch on.........when it got to the build your own stuff I had to stop and reread. They wouldn't put that in the bathroom!!!! or would they.........it is Disney after all.

They did not add on at all. They just changed the inside of two of the stores rooms. Most of the World of Disney store was completly unchanged.

OK, were these add ons or did they redo existing rooms? I am trying to figure out where these rooms are now located and i cannot imagine what rooms were taken away in order to make these two new ones.

They were not add ons. They simple redid existing rooms. The princess room is the large room that was on the far right near the lego store. This was the room that used to have the giant alice. The Adventure room is on the opposite corner facing the outdoor stage. I am not sure what used to be where the Adventure room is now.

The AA girl... I want to say she looks like one of the SeaCastle kids out of Horizons but they were all shorter.. maybe it's because she's an AA that's there a resemblence.

She could definately be the daughter of the SSE Movie Box Office woman with that smile.
