Trip Report 27 Ladies on a Disney ship - Yo, Ho, Ho and a bottle of Rum!

OK, it's been a month, Hubby is gone for a week, and I have no excuse to keep putting this off. I've never done a trip report before, so bear with me, but this trip was so awesome that it deserves to be shared!

First, I have to say thanks to @sweetpee_1993 and the little voice in her head that caused her to post the link to the Girls' Cruise in a random discussion thread. I had been kicking around the idea of a Disney cruise, but didn't really want to go by myself, and when I clicked on that link, it seemed like a personal invitation!
Kelly was a font of information and was so patient with everyone's questions.

Secondly, thanks to @Disneyfalcon for all her hard work in putting this cruise all together. From room assignments, to dinner seating times to transportation, everything was spot on.

And finally, thanks to my better half for understanding and putting up with my Disney obsession. He doesn't really get it, but he's willing to listen to me ramble on about my vacation plans, and he had to listen to these plans for almost 2 years! Of course, I don't get his enjoyment of spending 2 weeks in Montana with no indoor plumbing every year hunting, either!

And now that that's out of the way, here goes! I don't have that many pictures, mainly because we were having too much fun to stop and take pictures, and it's easier to deny something if there is no pictorial evidence that the event actually happened! You know, what happens on the cruise ship, stays on the cruise ship!

I flew in on Saturday the 7th, and had decided to stay at the airport Hyatt the night before the cruise. I kicked around staying at a Disney resort, but I knew I'd have to spend time in the parks, too, and I was going there afterwards so I thought I'd save a couple bucks by staying at the airport. Then on one of our chats, we decided we should all meet for dinner that night as sort of an ice-breaker. I figured, no problem, I'll just take a taxi to the Grand Floridian, meet everyone, then head back after dinner. Time for Lesson #1 of What to Do Different the next time. ("Next Time" was a popular phrase on this cruise - somewhere, someone was supposed to be keeping a list of things to change for the next Girl's cruise!)

Anywho, after paying $75 EACH WAY for the taxi, I will be spending the next Cruise eve night at a Disney resort!

Dinner is Grand Floridian was fun and it was nice to start putting names to faces.

OK, on to Friday. I decided to head to Downtown in the morning and do some shopping. Took my time and browsed, picked up some little things for my nieces and nephews, and a couple Christmas ornaments for myself. Bought the hubby a really nice shirt from the Harley-Davidson store. Headed back to the resort to drop of my purchases, then headed over to Epcot to meet @Tiggerish for dinner at the Flying Fish. I had never eaten there so was looking forward to that.

When I got to Epcot, the first thing I saw was Goofy, so of course I had to stop for a photo.

Then, I ran into Courtney, which was pretty exciting, and got to meet her lovely husband, who had flown down to spend the weekend after the cruise with her. And around the corner, I found Siobhan and Jess. They were headed back to their room at Boardwalk, to clean up and repack. As it was stinking HOT outside, I wen with them and just hung out in the air conditioning until time for dinner. Nice rooms at the Boardwalk, by the way.

Had a great dinner with Siobhan, and had a delicious birthday surprise dessert.

After dinner, we headed over to the Studios for the Villians party. What a madhouse! We walked but I guess the parking lots were closed, and some people were on the buses for an hour or more just to get in. I have heard of the parks being packed on holidays and summer days, but never experienced crowds like this. It was wall to wall people and so hot and humid I felt like I was melting! We watched the show, which was kind of cool to see some of the special characters like Hades and Oogie-Boogie, but there was no way I was standing in some of the 3 hour Meet-N-Greet lines.

We ran into some of the other Dream Girls, and headed over to do Star Tours. It was going on 11 by then, so I decided to head back to my resort and avoid the mad rush to the buses. Got back just in time to watch the Special party fireworks from my balcony.

I was meeting @Mrs.Skellington and @jesemeca for breakfast at the Crystal Palace in the morning before leaving for home, so I call Bell Services to make an appointment to have my luggage picked up at 7AM. They told be to just call in the morning an hour for before I needed them. Had another swim before bed, packed up my suitcases, and set the alarm for 6AM. Call Bell Services, asked for a 7AM pickup, and headed for the shower. Just getting ready to step in, there's a knock on my door, it's Bell Services. It's 10 after 6. I explain through the door that I'm not ready and please come back at 7. I take my shower, standing there half dressed with dripping hair, another knock on the door. It's Bell Services again - and the time is 6:30. I explain, again, about the 7 o-clock thing. He decides to wait. So I run around like a madwoman finishing up getting my and my bags ready. Whew! What a way to start the day.

Anyway, I head to the Magic Kingdom and breakfast. This was another first for me, and I really enjoyed it. Food was good and got some good pictures with Pooh and the gang, especially my favorite, Tigger.

After breakfast, we all wandered back to Fantasy Land to see it in the daylight. Took lots of pictures of the Tangled restroom, and the new Circus stuff.

That is a crazy story about Bell Services!! I can relate, though, as the DVC mousekeepers are exactly the same way on check-out days!! So annoying.

Can I say, out of all the photos of the Tangled Toilets that I've seen here on WDWMagic, you are the first one to find the frying pan! (why is that not a surprise? that's probably what I'd zoom in on, too. Housewives, unite!)

I need a new picture of me with Tigger. I didn't see him once this trip. :(

I've been working on my trip report, will probably start posting it over the next couple days.

Thoroughly enjoyed sharing moments of the trip with you in person, re-living the trip through your report, and will look forward to seeing you again on the Dream next September!!

HaHa! The frying pan was for my daughter. She cosplays Flynn Ryder, and we spent HOURS looking for a toy frying pan that would suitable for a prop.
We'll have to look for Tigger together on the next trip. What a great picture that would be!
And let's hear it for NEXT TIME!!!!!

I am so ready to do this all over again!

I loved living in your trip report :). Can't wait until the next time I am able to go again. I can guarantee it won't be next year. Lol.

We'll excuse you because you have a valid reason for missing the next one, but there will definitely have to be another get-together in our future. I just refuse to accept that we won't see one another ever again! Keep us posted on that baby!

Love the report Sherry! It really was such an amazing experience. I'm so glad I signed up for it and got to meet all the wonderful ladies who were part of it :)

Super bummed I will be missing out on next year but count me in for 2015!! :)

Isn't Le Cellier so good? We haven't eaten there in a few trips but it's absolutely my most favorite filet EVER!

Remy brunch looks good! Like @sweetpee I'm not a seafood gal. But there's champagane.. what more could you really ask for?! :)
