it is not 40k. It is not even 30k.
How is this conversation still happening? Most people here clearly have no idea what 40000 people would actually look like in the MK all at once.it is not 40k. It is not even 30k.
Right? It's amusing. 40k in the park at once is extremely crowded and not seen too often outside of holidays. How is this conversation still happening? Most people here clearly have no idea what 40000 people would actually look like in the MK all at once.
We always go over Labor day week & they've always been up regardless of when MNSSHP started. I believe the 2nd to last week in August is when they go up. Halloween merch & decoration inside the stores on Main street has already started.
They're going up right now.
Ok Pete ... Since you apparently know ... whats the magic number?it is not 40k. It is not even 30k.

I wish ...I thought they only sold up to 10k of the tickets.
I wish ...
I believe it is at least 30K-40K.I was serious. I really think it is supposed to be some low number like that or something. 35k to 40k is a very full park. MNSSHP is never that full.
I believe it is at least 30K-40K.
Maybe when it first started it was that low, but we have gone to it about every year since 07' and it has gotten more and more crowded each year, I also think thats why they are selling additional packages during the party that have preffered parade viewing and fireworks viewing, to offset guests complaints.
First year, you could have fired a cannon down main street, the last couple years have been elbow to elbow and only really lighten up after Hallowishes.
I think it is more that the parks in general are more crowded in the fall now, so more parties sell out. It used to be just the week of Halloween that sold out. So people are shocked when they go to a party midweek in late September and it is crowded and pull a number out of their arses to explain it. It would be like me saying, "I feel like our planet is two degrees warmer this year!"The limit for the parties has increased over the years but it is still well under 40k and even 30k. I do know the current number but it is not necessary for it to be posted here.
I know the parties feel a lot more crowded now than when they began. However people really don't understand what 40k feels like in the Magic Kingdom.
Unfortunately, what you were expecting is worth probably $400 in Central Florida. For $70, you get MNSSHP.All I know is we went once (Thursday Oct 1st 2009, yes I remember the date) and we swore we'd never waste our money again. The only way we'd go back was if less tickets were sold. It was wall to wall people. We were there early, 5ish, and stayed til midnight. It was the most frustrating night of our trip. Its not fair that you pay extra and can't even do all that is offered. We didn't stop to eat, didn't ride any rides. I even yelled at my husband when he took too long in the bathroom The character lines were (literally) hours long, the CMs had no clue what was going on and sent me criss crossing across the park whenever I asked a simple question. I was expecting this cool, intimate experience and it was chaos.

Oh, I agree. But that is what that kind of exclusivity would cost. $70 is for access to the entertainment with 25000 of your closest friends (for perspective, as far as I know Hallowishes alone costs about $60000 to put on nightly; this number is a bit old, so it might be higher now).Times the number of people in your party = not worth it. At least for us!
Depends on the ceiling. Not all "sell outs" are created equal.
Example, like a midweek, early September MNSSHP might be 25k And a sellout but Halloween will sell as many tickets as possible. Last I asked, upper limit is around 35k.
This is from earlier in the thread.
I found it thanks.Keep reading, I was wrong with that as I misunderstood my people. I clarified what I was told.
This is very inaccurate. The number never goes over 25k, no matter the night.
I don't think that's entirely fair, as before they started showing it repeatedly in recent years, I knew many folks who enjoyed the film. Certainly, I knew one girl who liked saying "Amok, amok, amok!" But it DOES illustrate how modest films or even flops can become "classics" if you take time to actually promote it on television. Disney, with no less than 4 cable channels capable of showing films whenever they want, really has no excuse as to why they don't do this more often with other films.
