Sanderson Sisters at MK for MNSSHP? SHUT. UP!

To have them available for M&G would only make this more awesome. What a fun gig!

NICE!

I really want to get back down for Not So Scary again this year.

We went last year and it was great. I hadn't anticipated how much fun it would be to be constantly complimented by cast members and guests on our costumes. Having guests be able to essentially change the character of the whole park by bringing in their own spin on the characters really makes for a unique atmosphere in a place that usually maintains such a tight control on the creative environment.
It's like the inmates get to run the asylum for one night.

One of those weird movies that nobody really liked until many years later when nostalgia kicked in and a redeeming quality was somehow added.

I don't think that's entirely fair, as before they started showing it repeatedly in recent years, I knew many folks who enjoyed the film. Certainly, I knew one girl who liked saying "Amok, amok, amok!" But it DOES illustrate how modest films or even flops can become "classics" if you take time to actually promote it on television. Disney, with no less than 4 cable channels capable of showing films whenever they want, really has no excuse as to why they don't do this more often with other films.

Really pumped about the Sanderson sisters! This is one of those movies that I grew up on, and I still watch it every year. When we stayed at POR, I got to watch it on the lawn one evening. It was a blast!

I've never been to MNSSHP, so I'm going in blind. I hope there's some kind of guide or something with times of all the events when we get there.

Does Disney only do HalloWishes on nights of MNSSHP, and Wishes every other night?
Yes.

I'm in WDW for some of the earlier parties, but I am not sure if I want to go. It no longer has a lot of the things I love about it. That's a lot of money to pay for an albeit great parade.

I think the exclusive character meets are great. Jack Skellington is a TRIP.

We got our trip planned for 9/20.

Right now DD wants to be Jake, she was Jake last year for halloween which is fine by me!
Mrs. CORunner isn't sure what she wants to be and I was thinking of going as Tadashi Hamada.

Is Halloween sold out? I just went to order mine for Columbus day week and the last week of October is not showing any party dates?
We bought ours on Friday for Halloween, and the automated response said limited. Consider it's Halloween on a Saturday, so you know it'll go quickly.

I wonder if they're going to keep the prices the same, or if they're going to raise them some? Also, knowing that there will probably be the Soiree again, will they add more villains to take the place of the ones that are at the Soiree?
I actually kick myself that I didn't do th Soirée last year. I kind of boycotted it on account that it looked like a money grab and it's hard to justify spending $100 on desserts when they already are giving you dessert with your admission. And then I read that blogger's scathing review of it and I was kind of relieved and then I read more of his stuff and realized he might not be that reliable a source because he seems to be a very demanding guest with lots of entitlement issues (that's just what comes across from his writings). But then talking to friends who did it and first hand accounts from these boards it actually looked like a fun time.
I wonder if they're going to do it this year or not. Since they didn't have one at Christmas (thought for sure it would have been Frozen themed) it makes me think they didn't get a big enough turn on it and that we won't see it again.

I just bought our tickets for the 10/1 party. We usually go to DL in October but this year we are visiting my family in Florida for fall break and decided to stay a few days at Port Orleans French Quarter and do the party as a "cheap" Disney jaunt. It has been a few years since we have gone to WDW. I grew up going there but since we have become regular DL guests it feels like I am going to an unfamiliar place.:) I am really looking forward to doing something different and giving the kids a different Disney experience (they have been to the DL Halloween part 4 times).

So, about the VSS....I notice that it hasn't been mentioned anywhere in any of the press for the event. I was really, really hoping they would offer this again. What I'm afraid of is that they only put this on as a sort of peace offering, or a second chance per say, to those who were burned in the Villains Unleashed mess.

I'd be willing to make another MNSSHP trip, just to do the VSS again. If they don't offer it, the idea of going isn't as shiny to me, and I could probably skip it.
