2015 Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party

I just read from some people that went to the party on Tuesday that they had many guests at the party that were at the park during the day and weren't MNSSHP guests... they were never escorted out of the park. Did anyone who went notice this? I am wondering if this is why the crowds were heavy?

I watched them sweep twice from in front of the castle stage twice before the first Hocus Pocus show started

Nope didn't see that. The CMs were fanatical about wrist bands - I was asked at least 5 times.

ok, this is good to know. I read that some people had a bunch near them during a parade. I was wondering what was up with that?

It's a terrifying sight and I don't know why it isn't fixed...

Yikes.
I can see that working for the castle show, but that's horrifying up close.
They both look like they go to Jame Gum as their tailor.

More notes/thoughts:

- Jafar's costume is the same as the show at DCA, which is why it looks so good.
- I like the touch of having Sarah flirt with one of the male dancers early in the show, very much in character
- "and there's - heck - to pay"? Can they not say Hell, like in the movie? Or will the Night of Joy crowd revolt?
- Was not expecting articulated Oggie head, is that new? Or was that also at the DHS Villains event?
- The animated effects on the castle were very well done

Fairly confident the Oogie head is new. And I feel like it works to say "heck." You know someone would be upset if they had said "hell," and using "heck" in its place did warrant some laughs.

My only very minor gripe is the mentioning of dates. They acknowledge that it's 2015 and 22 years since their last appearance (the film came out in 1993), but they still sing about how it's 300 years to the date since they were hanged (October 31, 1693). Oh well.

We never saw any sweeps and the one and only two times we had to show our wristbands was right by the Speedway and entering the Big Top souvenir store. Last year they had multiple sweeps.

My theory about the pushed back holiday pushing back the start of the parties therefore pushing back many people's vacation stands.....

Waited at 6:00 to see Seven Dwarves. Soooo so slow moving. One time they left and didn't come back for half an hour. Saw them around 8:30. Walked through the fantasyland at 11:30 and there were 4 people in line and they are out right till midnight. Complete waste of time.
When i attend these partys, i wait until after the fireworks to do M&Gs since people want to start heading out and get their last rides in before the end of the night, usually.

I was at the first party as well. Never asked to show my wristband except while in line for the dwarfs. I too saw multiple groups of people around the first parade time without wristbands and I didn't see anyone around to tell them to leave. That was a little frustrating. The crowds were heavier than what I expected them to be (had never been before).

I was dressed in Donald inspired attire and we were the last family to get to meet him, so I was a happy camper. :)

Yeah, there were some interesting choices here and there with the villains. Pretty sure this is the first appearance of Jafar as a face character in WDW. Maleficent also didn't have on any prosthetics (she still has them in DAWM, but not the Boo To You Parade or M&Gs). And both Hook and Hades were the "hybrids" that kinda sorta work (Hook appears like that in DAWM).
Are Hook or Maleficent doing M&Gs?

I was at the First Hocus Pocus show on 9/15 fairly early, they swept the area 3 times between about 6:30 and 7:30-ish. After about 7:45 we a bit to packed in to really do a proper sweep. They also swept the parade viewing areas near there about 4 times. Everyone in my vision seemed to have a wristband, but I couldn’t say for sure elsewhere.
