Yes Yes Yes!!!!!!!!!!!!! Go Cowboys!!!!!!

My team just did what no other team has done this year!!!! The Cowboys are the first team to beat the Saints!!!!!

Now I want the Cowboys to crush our division rivals the Redskins and then crush are other division rivals our Eagles. If the Cowboys beat the Redskins and the Eagles they win the NFC East.

Go Cowboys!!!!!

So, which came first? Who-Dey, or Who-Dat? Of course, I thought the Who-Dey chant spawned from a local brewery that used to be the official beer - Hudepohl. You would aks for the Hudy-Delight. Hudy birthed into Who-Dey. So it is written so shall it be done. . .

I think the Bengals did prove today that if they have to make a return trip to San Diego, they can feel good about their chances.

When I was a kid, my grandfather would always say (among other 'catch phrases') "Who dat say dat when I say who dat say dat?"

My mother could not stand it. According to her it was from some minstrel show.

So,as far as the NFL is concerned, Who-Dey predates Who-Dat?!?

Fine by me. Now if we can beat the Chiefs tomorrow, I will feel a little better.

Who-Dey!!

Alright Indy fans...what's the thinking behind starting Peyton and Co. if you're just going to bench them in a close game in the second half? If the game wasn't important enough to try to win with your starters down the stretch, why was it important enough to start them at all?

All I can come up with is the coaches wanted to give the starters a chance to build a huge lead by halftime — but it still doesn't make much sense if you're ultimately writing the game off as meaningless and worrying about injuries in the third quarter.

Well, the 72 Dolphins Legacy is safe. :o
Yeah. As a fan of no team in particular, I just wish it was a franchise with management a little less timid than the Colts' that was consistently good enough to win 12 or 13 out of the gate every few seasons.

At least New England went for it all two years ago, and was genuinely beaten instead of rolling over.

Heck, as long as we are still the only team to do it...:o

I always thought they did that to keep the starters in the routine of playing so they're ready for the playoffs. Don't want them getting out of the routine right before the most important games of the season, but don't want them hurt either, so they balance it half and half

I'm not trying to lessen the Dolphins' achievement at all. They played to win every game, and they did. Part of being great is trying your hardest 100% of the time.

Beyond the "all-time" discussion, though, I wonder if Indy is trying to split the difference by letting their starters play a half. They've already seen that completely resting your starters leads to early playoff losses. I wonder if we'll see Peyton play the first half next week, too.

Yeah...that's about the only explanation that makes sense.

Wow.....the Saints....
Seriously? The Bucs?

Just goes to show you why they say "any given Sunday" and why games are played on the field and not on paper. Sunday's loss to the Bucs was inexcusable, embarrassing, and terrible. There is no reason for a 13-1 team, playing at home, with a 17 point lead, and playing for homefield advantage to just choke like that in the second half.

I've been optimistic and apologetic over the past month because of injuries, etc, but it's undeniable that the fire, determination, and perfection just aren't there anymore. As terrible as our makeshift defense is right now, they only gave up 10 points. Our #1 offense should have scored more than 0 points in the second half.

Now, back to optimism and black and gold colored glasses, we are 13-2, have a first round bye, and Drew Brees is our QB. Our starting corner should be returning next week, Jeremy Shockey is recovering from turf toe, and Reggie Bush's proverbial lightbulb seems to have finally "clicked". We have 3 weeks to wake up from our slump and play mistake-free, perfect playoff football. We're gonna need our best efforts against rising teams like Philly and Dallas if and when we face them.

We need to show improvement against Carolina for four quarters like we did today against Tampa in the first quarter.

Geaux Saints! Looking forward to catching the game at the ESPN Club next Sunday after a LSU victory in the Citrus Bowl!

Edit: It may just be that I'm looking for a way to deal with today's loss, but I think the way Indy handled their game today could lead to trouble down the road. I think it sends the wrong message to the team to just shut it down midgame when it was still very much in doubt. It's never good to lose and even worse to "give up."
