Lucky you. I heard from a neighbor today that OF tickets were going for $350, and that some seats (presumably Kane's Club seats) were going for $10,000. :dazzle:
Scott, say goodbye to the days of just going to the park for tickets...and walking out of there for $50.
Do you know how much it costs US to go to the game?
First off...there are VERY minimal amounts of "Day-of" sales. If you want them...you're waiting in line.
Second...Unless you wait in line...you're paying for scalped prices. (Boston is riddled with "Legal Scalping" sites and companies).
This year...field box seats were $125 a piece. That's not a playoff game...that's not a high-profile team...that's the run-of-the-mill everyday prices (not scalped). (Just for an "eye-opener" those same seats in '97 cost $26.00).
So, imagine taking a family of 4 to the game. That's $500...and now say you get 4 Fenway Franks, 2 cokes, 2 beers, and a snack each.
$4.00 x 4 (Franks) = $16.00 (We're not talking the jumbo or footlong...just an ordinary hot Fenway Frank)
$4.00 x 2 (Coke) = $8.00
$7.00 x 2 (Beer) = $14.00
$4.00 x 4 (price of average snack) = $16.00
That's $554.00...plus...don't forget about parking...which will cost you (if you're lucky) $20.00. So, $574.00.
No souveniers, no programs, and basically minimal to eat and drink.
This is the con to having a winning team.
