The mermaid coaster!!!!!!!!!
I wouldn't count on that going in. We already have a very similar coaster, "Goofy's Barnstormer" right next door.

Im all for it. I do have a feeling that, with all I read on mouseage, and all that, it makes me feel, since the parks are in such bad shape, Disneyland is going to pull a big surprise on us. If it was that big though, I would think something would have been leaked by now. Well, alls I can say is to watch my updates, cause, if all this is to be done by 2005/6, I should have alot of juicy pictures and construction junk. After its all built, It's gonna seem, to me, like im visiting a whole different Disney World...I cant wait!!!:)

Plus, the coaster is outside of Mermaid lagoon at TDS. I can't imagine them building any rides outside the structure in the 20K lagoon, as there isn't much room, and it would impose upon the rest of fantasyland.....It would be great to see Mermaid lagoon at MK, but if they can't build all of it (with a big show, stores, and sit down resturaunt) I dont really think it would be worth it.

Flik's Fun Fair- I really hope this isn't true, because this would only make Camp Minnie-Mickey more permanent. They built the land hoping to eventually build something else (Beastly Kingdom) in its place. Even though BK seems dead, I would much rather see a whole new land there than a mix-mash of a bug's land and mickey's starland.

Yes it would. I have been saying this from the beginning that Aquatopia should be put into the 20 k lagoon. Unless Mermaid Lagoon has all different rides from the TDS version, it simply wouldn't make sense to build it at all due to the many duplicates, like you said.

Although it would certainly fit much better, I don't think they'll consider the move. BTW - Wasn't "Tough to be a Bug" originally going to be using live action originally?

We are not getting clones of Mermaid Lagoon and "Flik's Fun Fair". They will not duplicate ride types, like having two teacups rides w/in 200 yards of each other. Same idea, different theming...like the various Towers of Terror, Haunted Mansions, Space Mountains, etc.

And what exactly is Mermaid Lagoon?

Its cool land in TDS mostly indoors and made to look like you're actually under the sea. There are many rides, but mostly kiddie rides. THere is a really cool Mermaid show that's part trapeese act and part puppet show.

I do hope some of this happens.

Flik's Fun Fair: This would be a perfect addition to AK. Although, it would need to be more close to ITTBAB. Is it possible that they could make it on Discovery Island?

Stitch Encounter: NOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If they do this I'll get rabies on purpose. Even if I wasn't such an AE fan, I still wouldn't like this. MK needs more rides like this. Although, they don't need to be scensory thrillers.

Mermaid Lagoon: I'd like to see one, but maybe not in the magic Kingdom. There's already a kiddie area in the MK, and I don't think an entire land devoted just to one disney movie in the MK is appropriate. Maybe they could add it to MGM, and put an E-ticket ride in the sub lagoon. Maybe a ride based on fantasmic with EGV viecles.

HOLY COW - these have got to be the BEST rumors i have heard in a LONG time. i am not a huge fan of some of the ideas but this means BUSINESS FOR DISNEY

CHANGE IS GOOD - this will really pick up attendance. all these new things will just bring the people in. i am already booking a trip for Dec. of 2005 just for this reason --- lol. this is great...

side note - whoever has the idea of bringing stitch into the tiki room is a comedical genius. i love it! good thinking, and the tiki room is one of my favs at WDW... the old one and the new one... but stitch would bring a great atmosphere, and more likable personality to the ride... wish it would happen... cool idea...

G R E A T R U M O R S ..... WALT DISNEY WORLD IS GETTING A REHAB... lol

would nemo be in the mermaid lagoon area or this strictly mermaid stuff? i would kind of hate to see a land devoted to mermaids, rather than all "under the sea creatures" in the wonderful world of disney...

I got an e-mail from a source who responded to the Flik's rumor with a simple "Ha-Ha!"
Of all the new rumors, this is the weakest.

I heard the Mermaid Lagoon rumor about a month ago, and posted here that what I heard was coming to 20k was not what I was hoping for.
I was really hoping for Mysterious Island, or at least TDS' 20k.

It's early yet. We'll see....

I think because many of the rides already excist and they would need some original attractions for the lagoon I think they will put other sea characters such as Nemo!!!
