I was about a year old when I went to see my 1st Disney movie.
It was "Mary Poppins."
My mother said that I was so excited when we went to the theatre to see it.
That is all I could talk about.
I kept asking, "Where is Mary Poppins?"
As soon as she came on the screen, I told her, "O.K., let's go now!"

What was your 1st Disney movie?

I'd have to say my first one I can remember was The Fox and the Hound. I think I was about 4 or 5 years old. Now who feels old?

The first Disney movie I watched, on video, was Dumbo. I also remember, as a kid, watching Lady and the Tramp and Sleeping Beauty again, and again, and again... I still watch them a couple of times a year!:)

A Peter Pan rerelease. Must have been around 1969 or so. My parents said they took me to a drive-in in my PJs. The next was Song of the South. My parents told me were going somewhere else and surprised me with the opening of the new theaters in town (also a rerelease). Third was Bednobs with my Dad. Thought the animation part with people was soooo cool. Been an angela Lansbury fan ever since!:)

Actually, My mother's told me that chances are, that's the first Disney Movie that i ever saw as a Baby. She said it was my brother's favourite, and he'd watch it frequently in his adolescense...and she'd usually place 2 year old me next to the TV as he watched it . Despite the fact that it was most certainly "en Español" (I was born in Venezuela and did not move to the states until i was 3), I'm pretty proud to say that it was a good first movie pick, if i were ever allowed to have chosen it.

"Bambi" Not the original release, but the 1957 re-release. One of the things I remember about the film, is that it was showing in one of the less savory parts of town, and my father didn't want to take us at first, because he was afraid someone would steal the hubcaps off of the family car. Which, as I can remember, did not happen.

This is actually pretty hard for me to figure out....my dad is a huge film nut and we had shortened versions of almost all of the movies....I remember Fox and the Hound most from my childhood, but I can't place a finger on the first one I ever saw.

The first one I ever saw in theatres was Lion King and I remember being completely in awe as the sun rose in the beginning. It was at that point that I knew I was headed to animation school at some point in my life.

The first Disney movie I remember seeing at the theatre was Old Yeller. What a great classic. My grandmother took several of us grandchildren as a Christmas present. We drove about 1-2 hours to get to the movies. Now who's old????

Hmmmm, I think my first Disney movie was Aladdin. I think I was too young for Beauty and the Beast, so Aladdin is probably it.
