1972 Photos - My First Trip To Disney World

My first visit to The Magic Kingdom was in 1972. I don't think Epcot was even built then.

Back then the park seemed so big to me. My favorite ride was 20000 Leagues Under The Sea. It was so cool looking at the underwater world. I thought the divers and the big squid were real.

How cool! Those pics are older than me by 2 years. I didn't make it to WDW until I was 2 in 1976. I do remember seeing pics of myself in one of those strollers!

My first trip was 1971 and I have some old pics of me too.I look like a girl since my mom was a hippy and insisted on me having long hair.

This is so funny to me. I called my mom this past weekend and asked her for all of our old Disney pictures from back then. I can't wait to show my kids:lol:

The were not disability accessible and wouldn't run in the windy or rainy weather, closed at dark. Plus costly to keep up to code, apparently. Some stories of why they closed are linked below. No one knows the true reason for Skyway closing, but DL closed theirs in 1994, WDW in 1999 and Tokyo closed in 1998
