Umm...I doubt this was done with malicious intent? Unless I am missing something. And if I am not, perhaps a PM would be more appropriate?

It's a great picture by the way.
It has nothing to do with intent. It has to do with copyright. There's just no reason to steal my image and post it on the board. The question could have been asked without taking my image, you know? I post the images on my site so that people can view them, but I don't wish people to take them and put them on other sites. Since they posted it on the board, I wanted it known that I did not wish it to be used in that manner.

Polite communication....not going to find too much of that here.
I think it's impolite to take someone's image without permission. I am not being rude, I just take this seriously. It's a personal image and I don't want people to take it and post it anywhere they please. You are welcome to come to my site and view it, but you are NOT welcome to take it and post it elsewhere.

I'm not disagreeing with you on the impropriety of posting the picture....contact the member in private. No need to call them out on the boards.

Oh, I completely get where you're coming from. I just think that sometimes people don't realize that web content is protected content. Which is hard to realize, because we all assume that in this day and age everyone is web savvy. But sometimes, people aren't. And if you think about where the poster got the image from (another poster on the same board that he feels comfortable posting on), I don't think it falls under the category of "anywhere they please". It struck me as more like "Hey, I remember that too!". So, I think a little "hey, you're not supposed to do that" in a PM would have been a bit more gentle than a public reprimand.

Wow..we are way OT here. Sorry!

While I always ask permission before copying someone's work whether its a photo or otherwise, may I suggest that if you are so concerned about people using your photos without permission that you protect them? You seemed to completely overact here.

Thanks for those photo's guys, they were great! It's always nice to see the MK back when it first opened, to see what has changed and what has stayed the same.

Hey, Miss M
You refer to hubby as "Love" - is that a term of endearment or actually his last name? I ask because my hubby is a "Love" (actual last name) and his dad looks a lot like your hubby's dad.

I started referring to him as "Love" many years back because he doesn't have an online screen name. It just stuck. Love's dad is sans the stylish 70's 'fro these days.
