DAK “Zootopia” is being created for the Tree of Life theater

I will miss it. Tough To Be A Bug was hands-down the best 3-D show Disney has created.

Agree. Shoot missing it by a month. Well at least I get to see Dinosaur and RnRC before they re rethemed. TOT too before it inevitably goes under the knife. COP might not be long for this world either. Unfortunately, never had the opportunity to ride Maelstrom, Great Movie Ride or Splash Mountain at MK.

In my opinion, Mickey’s Phillarmagic and Muppet Vision 3D are among the best.

I love both of those shows (and PhilharMagic is my favorite 3D show at WDW)

Fully grown adult and will not step into that theater.

Muppets is superior IMO, but Bug is very well done.

Muppets was fantastic for the 90's. I liked it more than PhilharMagic and Captain EO. But I did prefer HISTA to Muppets. And I most definitely prefer ITTBAB. Great script, immersive direction rather than a movie with 3-D effects like Muppets and T2, the multiple seat effects, the spiders, the fantastic Hopper AA, and a little educational. ITTBAB was peak.

I have no idea what's coming to replace this (or the MV3D), but the prevailing assumption is that much like many of the previous replacements of existing attractions, the new thing is going to be worse than what it replaced. The track record hasn't been good for the past 10 years.

I think the upsetting part for me, now, is that Joe is gone. ITTBaB came in due to a corporate mandate from Eisner to integrate the IP, but Joe as among Imagineering’s best when it comes to forced IP-integration. He has shown multiple times the ability to finesse an attraction’s story and execution in a way that does not distract from the overall park’s vision. Not many in modern-day WDI exhibit that skill set and nothing I’ve seen suggests it will be on display with this show.

3D shows really shouldn’t exist, unaltered, for 3 decades or more, so I agree that the time has come for ITTBaB and MV3D. I just lack faith that their replacements will be an improvement. At least with PhilharMagic, they just added a sequence to keep it fresh.

Anyone who doesn't go in again after the first time is missing half the fun. The best part was always leaning forward slightly to avoid the "sting" and watching everyone else freak out around you.

We can disagree on this. Zootopia is more than deserving of something. Not sure if this is that, but hoping it’s done well.

Don’t really have a connection to It’s Tough to Be A Bug besides my childhood memories of being scared.

It’s gonna be hard for the Muppet Vision replacement to live up to that show. It’s time has come though. Excited for the door coaster, big Monsters fan.

Muppets getting Aerosmith softens the blow for me despite never riding.
