How many people are wearing these on a given day in California? I thought early on many people were wearing them but not that many people recently.
its a fad like most things, people will be into it in the beginning (myself included) and then it'll wear out after a while.

Earlier this week, “Glow With The Show” Ears debuted at Fantasmic! at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and beginning tomorrow night (October 19), the ears will also enhance the magic of “Wishes” fireworks and the “Celebrate the Magic” projection show at Magic Kingdom Park.

For guests interested in purchasing ear hats to wear for the show, they will be available at The Emporium, The Chapeau, and merchandise carts. Ear hats previously purchased at other Disney Parks will work during these shows.

Be sure to stay tuned to the Disney Parks Blog for more updates on how these amazing ear hats will brighten up The Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights at Disney’s Hollywood Studios and at Holiday Wishes: Celebrate the Spirit of the Season fireworks at Magic Kingdom Park later this year.

Hey each to his own but these seem like a waste. There are some great Mickey hats to get and this isn't one of them. It will look great if they fill the Fantasmic auditorium but as it will probably not even fill 1/2 of that..not so much.

I was more distracted by the fireworks than of the hats..Was there any shots from the Hub to see the ears in action any better?

I really do hope they are selling these at Epcot..And hoping for a Illuminations Glow with The Show in the Round..

Illuminations would be great for it. I mean glow with the show is a cool concept but you don't really get the show if you buy them yourself, it's dependent on others wearing them around you. With Illuminations seeing others across the water glowing would be so cool and really add to an otherwise "meh" show. Don't get me wrong the first few times I saw Illuminations I was in awe, but after the Millennium celebration it kind of lost the awe for me.

Celebrate The Magic and Wishes was kind of lame.. The MK was insanely packed but very few people had hats on.

I noticed one of the parade route lighting poles had extra equipment attached to it, I assume for Glow With The Show?

And what is up with Glow With The Show not working with MSEP? Seems very odd.. As well as Illuminations

They're probably waiting to reveal it later, as they have been doing the "opening" events separate from each other. At least that's what I hope! I'd really love to be down there when they do Illuminations, and will be there next week. Of course it probably won't happen while I'm there, more wishful thinking!

They're cool and all that, but it's still like a novelty that would wear off after time. Plus the effect of it relies on a lot of people having the glowing ears. Maybe these ears have a higher profit margin than regular ears or something...I don't know.

I am a bit horrified by the price, but honestly I would jump at buying these. I do not even care if there are not enough people buying them to make the shows cool. I would be happy walking around with the "generic" setting. But I love glow-y things such as this. I have several necklaces and headband type items. I am the perfect sucker for these things.

If they fit a 2 and 4 year old heads I would get them for my kids but they just come in grownup sizes.

Maybe try with a baseball hat underneath, to prop it up? But I agree there should be more than one size.

I was just thinking the same thing. At $25.00 a piece, wonder how much the hats cost to make? $50.00 for 2 people for me. I'm to cheap. That's a quick service meal for me at WDW. And I go every 2 years. Meh.

Watched live streaming of Wishes last night and whoever shot it was closer to the hub. It looked a lot cooler with a lot of hats. I was just wondering if they gave any glow with the show ears away like they did when it debuted at World of Color? It just seemed like there was a higher concentration of them farther toward the castle. Not as many the farther you went down Main Street toward the train station.
