Also watched the live stream. Does anyone know if the Ears worked for the 2nd CTM?

Also, read on twitter yesterday that Glow will not come to Epcot because a new show is coming, Any truth to that??? Will the Ears just be on for ROE and MSEP? Is Glow coming to MSEP after the referb?

Watched live streaming of Wishes last night and whoever shot it was closer to the hub. It looked a lot cooler with a lot of hats. I was just wondering if they gave any glow with the show ears away like they did when it debuted at World of Color? It just seemed like there was a higher concentration of them farther toward the castle. Not as many the farther you went down Main Street toward the train station.
No. Nothing given away.

Yes, Ears worked for all three showings last night.

Current line-up:
-Celebrate the Magic (including Halloween and Christmas)
-Wishes (including Hallowishes and Christmas)

Nothing else in the queue for now.

Sorry, what I meant was it looked in the live stream like the Ears broke halfway through the 1st CTM last night(which made watching Wishes stressful, wondering if they would break again). What I'm wondering is did the Ears work throughout the 2nd CTM?

I was more distracted by the fireworks than of the hats..Was there any shots from the Hub to see the ears in action any better?

I really do hope they are selling these at Epcot..And hoping for a Illuminations Glow with The Show in the Round..

Well, I'm hoping not. 1) I think "Glow with the Show" is kinda dumb and distracting, and 2) there is already enough extraneous light around the lagoon during RoE. Last thing it needs is more.

Illuminations would be great for it. I mean glow with the show is a cool concept but you don't really get the show if you buy them yourself, it's dependent on others wearing them around you. With Illuminations seeing others across the water glowing would be so cool and really add to an otherwise "meh" show. Don't get me wrong the first few times I saw Illuminations I was in awe, but after the Millennium celebration it kind of lost the awe for me.

Actually, you just detailed why it WOULDN'T work for IllumiNations. These ears only work well if they are used in a confined area (Fantasmic theater, Main Street/Hub, WoC amphitheater) and if at least 75% of the crowd is wearing them. World Showcase is just too large an area for the ears to have any meaningful effect. And the large area also means the crowd is widely dispersed, which further hinders their effectiveness, especially if only a few people are wearing them.

Glow with the Show requires dense crowds and compact areas, neither of which RoE has.

Every time as of late I've been to Illuminations it's pretty packed along the edge of the water. If it was able to make a semi solid ring of people around the water it would still be cool. Also considering the giant fire barge and the globe I don't think some glow with the show ears would be that distracting. Actually I think the "distracting" argument is kind of a weak one, because I definitely think the shows at Disney have plenty of things going on in them that are bigger than glow-y ears.

It does fuel the rumor that ROE and MSEP are getting replaced or updated soon.

Just watched the whole video and I think the ears worked great. Not sure what everyone is complaining about that they were off half the show. You do know that they are coordinated individually, right? So, some may be on, some may be off at any given time.

I know everything must come to an end but I will really miss ROE when it goes, whenever that may be.

I was skeptical about Glow with the Show but my husband showed me a video last night and I thought it looked great. I know it is different than being there in person but I would like to give it a shot.

There were some minor glitches on night one. Lost end of show during Wishes as well.

Last night during MNSSHP, everything was working properly.

Even in the overpriced setting that is WDW, $25.00 for a set of light up ears will set a family of four back $100 which seems like an extravegant purchase most families will not make. For that price each person can get a more practical keepsake to take home and display or play with. I can assure you my family will not spend an additional $125 to be part of a show we've already paid for.

We did. It was more like $75 for the three of us, but they were worth it.

Do you think that the $25 a piece is just an introductory price? It could be that they know to milk it for what it's worth being a new concept and experience. Maybe it will decrease as time goes on?

Possibly, but since they are thicker than a normal mouse ear hat I would not hold my breath. The ears themselves are not like the regular "light up" ears on other hats. They are made of thicker plastic and enclosed lighting.

While anything is possible, I cannot remember the price of anything at WDW being reduced. If anyone else knows of any item or service that had the price reduced after it's introduction please post it here.

Even lowering the price to say $20, would still keep it off my list. If you just wanted the audience to be part of the show, there are bracelets that use the same technology that could be given away for free or perhaps sold for $5 or less. As soon as the bracelets lit up, the audience would of course have to raise their arm in order for the light to be seen.

If these can be used again, and again, can they be packed in a suitcase?
