You could take the friendship boat or walk (about 15 mins) to DHS and take the bus to CR, but depending on weather and how you are dressed you may want to take a taxi/uber so you don't turn up for your nice meal all dishevelled.

Our go to resort was always PORS (back to Dixie Landing days) but we stayed at the BC once and then at the BW, we loved it so much we bought DVC at BWV, and we have never looked back. We love the resort and the location is fantastic.
