    Disney Visa

I've got $631 right now and our trip isn't until next May. There is an annual limit of $750 per year, but that is for regular $, not bonus. I hope to pay for most of our meals with the rewards.

    Declining food quality.

Like I said, the folks on fodors.com were pretty hostile to Disney food, but many on that board are pretty hostile to Disney in general. (There was a recent post asking people to list the biggest tourist trap they ever wasted money on, and several people mentioned the Disney parks.) I...

    Declining food quality.

I've studied the menus on allearsnet.com and find the prices outrageous! Our family eats out quite a bit in the Dallas area and prices around home are nothing compared to the WDW prices. With that said, we are staying on site and don't want to leave to eat, so we will pay the prices. I'm...

    Wanted: Helpful Hints

Unless you kids are all in their teens, measure them BEFORE you leave for your trip, check the ride height requirements and talk about it in advance if a certain shorter child won't be tall enough to ride a ride that he or she has his or her heart set on. Plan together what fun thing a parent...

    Disney's America....Will It Be Built?

I vote for San Antonio, Texas...BUT, it can easily get to be 105-110 degrees in the summer.

    Splitting Hotel Stay

We're going to do 5 nights at YC and 5 at the CR. I know I'll hate the packing and unpacking, but I wanted to try both resorts. Try to remember to bring some kind of cooler if you're going to want to transfer food from one fridge to another.

Does Cape May feel like "nice" restaurant?

Thanks everyone! We will be staying at YC, so it will be pretty convenient.

Does Cape May feel like "nice" restaurant?

I looked at photos of lots of the restaurants on allearsnet and all looked very nice...except that Cape May looked kind of cold and cheap, like maybe an IHOP or Denny's? Is that true, or was I looking at a bad photograph? It will cost about $100 for our family to eat the seafood buffet, and at...

    Motor Stunt Show

We saw it at DLP this March...DH and I both admitted later that we slept through some of it...maybe it was just the opportunity to sit down for a while. It was okay, but nothing great.

Rental car vs Disney Transportation to the Parks

I thought about this a lot and researched a lot and decided to rent a car for the first trip. We are a famiy of 5, so shuttle transportation to and from the airport is pretty expensive. I looked on mousesavers and found a good rate code for the car rental. We'll be making a couple of trips to a...

first things while planning for a trip?

I have a mental list of all the trips our family wants to take in the next few years. Every so often, I check airfares to those locations to educate myself so that I know a good fare when I see it. (We went to Paris in March. I had been watching air fares for about 6 months; last July I saw a...

    Save Lots Of Money-using A.a.a.

I made my resort reservations a couple of weeks ago for May 26-June 5, 2005, splitting my stay between YC and CR Tower. I was able to get AAA rates for the CR, but not for the YC. The CMs keep saying that they aren't out yet ("Try back in December") but I think in reality, they're already gone...

How to access front gate of Epcot from Yacht Club?

I've heard that there is no bus service from the Epcot resorts to the front of Epcot. One of the supposed great features of staying at an Epcot resort is use of the World Showcase entrance to the park. But I've also heard that if you enter through there first thing in the morning, by the time...

Disneyland Paris In March or May 2004?

I guess we in the US are just out of step with what is going on at DLP - maybe I should have spent the money on an international phone call. All I've done is to check the official web site and last time I checked, there was no information on anything past November 2003. How did you find out...

    Crowds in March

Thanks so much! There is something to be said for traveling in the off season. About 10 years ago my husband and I went to Germany in February ... I had heard about people waiting in line for hours to enter Neuschwanstein ... we walked right in and it was gorgeous in the snow! I have...

Poly Question- Standard or Standard Concierge?

I read on one of these boards that if you need a fridge for baby formula they will comp the rental. I also read that they had discontinued the free fridge for medicines, etc. because people were abusing it. Maybe someone else will know the current policy. If I was the CM at the registration...

    Crowds in March

We are considering a trip to Paris March 13th - 21st, 2004. I know the weather may not be ideal, but when you have kids in school you follow the school calendar. I assume that the crowds on week days during that time won't be too bad. What about the week ends? Do you think DLP would be very...

How do I get a good deal on room/tickets?

I used information from various discussion boards to get a great rate at the DLH at DLR. Is there anyway to get a great rate on a room and/or ticket discounts at DLP? Any rate codes out there?

Really Long Spring Break Trip Report

You are a saint to go on a Disney vacation with your family as an adult. I just don't think I could take it (without my head exploding). I'm very much a "first in line at the rope drop" kind of person. My family went to WDW the second year it was open with a grandmother, two sets of aunts and...
