Yes, we were there when they were filming too. Our last day in the parks was 5th Nov and MK’s decs looked complete to me and think they started straight after the 31st. Other parks were slower and I don’t think we saw much Christmas stuff before we left.
Also from the UK.....We went from 15th May for 2 weeks back in 2014 and the temps were pretty hot and humid already by then but not horrific like the summer can be....I did July once before, never again. We have also just been this past Oct and the temps were much more manageable than our May...
We came off Buzz last week and found a photo of 2 complete strangers in our account! Turned out my MIL had scanned the wrong image as hadn’t seen the coloured lines linking from screen to MB scanner...:joyfull:
I felt really sorry for someone trying to ride in our slot a couple of weeks back with his young kids. He had queued some way behind us for 90 mins holding his kids up most of the way only to be way too tall to fit. I’m actually surprised the CMs hadn’t clocked him as he joined the line because...
We have just ridden tonight and all CM,s we spoke to before joining the line said as long as we passed the official start of the ride before park close at 8pm (ie by the FP scanners etc) we would ride. We joined the line at 7pm when wait time was 90 mins and were off the ride and exiting pandora...
Oh yes, walking through the wall was amazing! I had goosebumps. And coming from London I was pretty impressed with how they did Kings Cross too, it was like being at home when we got off the train, although somewhat cleaner :)
We are here now and have done all the parks and Universal once this week and are finding crowds and wait times pretty good except for pandora and 7DMT. We even did FEA standby with a 20 min wait on Monday :)
So we visited Universal today. The whole HP experience was amazing, great to see it all after watching it being built 3 yrs ago. The detail was incredible. Thought Gringotts was fab and will try ride again next week and managed 3 rides on FJ with single rider.
But the mummy :hungover: - never...
.....and it was half empty!
We added VB and Universal very late to our trip schedule but it really worked out for us today despite fearing we wouldn’t get on half the rides.
Admittedly it was pretty cold, ok freezing at times when you got out the water but coming from London just like a usual...
One sleep . In 24 hours we will hopefully be airborne. I say hopefully as there’s an Atlantic storm due to hit the UK tomorrow with high winds forecast. Just hoping any delays are minimal  . Thank you to everyone who has offered advice and answered questions ahead of our trip...
