Transformative Multi-Year Expansion Announced for WDS Paris

Exactly. It may be adding some expensive and high tech new rides, but it's not taking a DCA 2.0 approach to give the park a new identity. It's still gonna have the boring and concrete Production Courtyard, keep the behind the scenes theme of the Front Lot & Studio One, and have the mish-mosh of...

Bob Iger treated Disneyland with kid gloves — but took a sledgehammer to the ill-conceived DCA - OCR/SCNG

If you want to get technical, while Bob Iger oversaw all of these projects, I don't know if he necessarily lead them. He was in charge and had the final say, but the head of parks & resorts was the main person working and developing the new projects. The new stuff you listed is all Chapek, minus...

Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway - Disneyland

Part of me feels that the new mickey has something to do with the public domain. In a few years, classic Mickey enters the public domain.

One Sentence Competition, Season 6, Episode 2 - Opening the Vault

Typed this up and meant to submit this earlier today. Turns out I forgot to click the "post reply" button. Fantasia Gardens An elaborately themed hedge maze and walkthrough will come to the former Motorboat Cruise area in Fantasyland and bring this classic movie to life with fountains...

    Tokyo Disneyland Resort Expansion

The Paris hotels are pretty reasonably priced. A family of 5 can go to Disneyland Paris for 4 days for under $2000, tickets included. Also I'm pretty sure if you get a vacation package to Tokyo Disneyland you get anytime fastpasses but I'm not 100% sure.

Avengers Campus - Reactions / Reviews

Pixar Pier is a thematic mess and has a lot of cheap elements, however sections of it (entrance area, Pixar promenade, views from Paradise Park) are gorgeous.

Avengers Campus - Reactions / Reviews

The one thing DCA is good at is creating a great atmosphere. Besides the backlot area & from the looks of it Marvel, each area has charm. I love walking along Route 66 and eating at Flos overlooking the beautiful mountain range, I love looking at all the detail that Buena Vista Street has, I...

Hundred Acre Goods vs Pooh Corner

The area around Pooh, including the interior of the gift shop, really feels like it's always been at Disneyland. It was built in 2003 but the facade of Pooh Corner and the charm the area has feels like it could have been built in 1955.

Hundred Acre Goods vs Pooh Corner

Technically I didn't say Pooh was better, I just said that I enjoy Pooh more than Country Bears/Mr. Toad. I wasn't alive to see Disneyland Country Bears or WDWs Toad, but I think that Disneylands Mr. Toad is a much better attraction than either of the Poohs. And I personally don't like the...

Hundred Acre Goods vs Pooh Corner

I think its nice how they replaced Toad in MK and Country Bears in Disneyland for Pooh. I'm pretty nostalgic for Winnie the Pooh, and while I love the Pooh attractions more than what they replaced (unpopular opinion, I know), I'm glad that one version, and more specifically the original version...

HKDL gets new castle, frozen land and marvel land.

Never thought I'd say this but I actually really love the castle. It's grown a lot on me and I love all the tiny details on the turrets.

Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway - Disneyland

The Steel Structure seems to be almost complete. I wonder how long until we see the mountains return to cover this huge building. Hopefully, before the parks reopen.

    Tokyo Disneyland Resort Expansion

Attraction count, the park is only up by 1. But ride count the park is up by 3 (Rise of the Resistance, Frozen Ever After and Spiderman)

    Tokyo Disneyland Resort Expansion

Just because it's an expensive band-aid doesn't mean it's not a band-aid. I say bandaid because they really aren't solving any problems that the park has. The Toon Studio & Production Courtyard area will still be a cheap and thematic mess when the expansion is done, and the three immersive...
