News Disney extending Walt Disney World Annual Pass duration by an additional month

Cool! So Disney just did exactly what I was complaining about them not doing. We can now cancel our barely used Silver pass we paid in full and everyone else gets an extra month! Seems a lot more fair to me now! The "partial refund" with cancellation is probably minus the down payment that...

I believe tickets expiration dates are changing right now?

I think this site is all super fans, in fact negativity and complaining about prices gets your post removed here. We'll have to go to another site to find what people are doing to get a better refund.

I believe tickets expiration dates are changing right now?

Take pity on me for what? Not wanting to go into a crowd during a pandemic or having paid full price for 1/3 of the services? It's really a nasty business practice to keep everyone's money and only offer a 3 month extension. I was thinking even 4 months would be a little stingy. IMO you guys are...

I believe tickets expiration dates are changing right now?

What do you mean? I want to return my pass due to the virus and the fact that half the resort is closed. I should get a 10+ month refund.

I believe tickets expiration dates are changing right now?

So it sounds like Disney is sticking to the no-refund policy even if you only got to use it for a month. I wonder if the next step is file a complaint with BBB?

Walt Disney World Annual Pass closure period extension watch

There's extensions, partial refund, and I think a 3rd category of people who want to cancel active passes completely with some kind of refund. Currently Disney is not offering any such refund, but we're waiting to see before going other routes to get refunded.

Gideon's Bakehouse coming to Disney Springs

I wonder if they got a deal on the lease. Right now their cookies are $5, which sounds really cheap for Disney Springs. I think a donut shop would do really well too. Not enough donuts at Disney.

News Mobile Dining Check-In comes to My Disney Experience to eliminate podium check-in at restaurants

Most likely they can check you in using their device and send you a text when the table is ready. The QR code would take you to a website, so don't use that method.

McDonald's near to Disney All Star Resort to close for remodel

I wasn't thinking about diabetes, but in the short term McDonalds and probably 90% of what Disney serves is probably the worst thing for the immune system and will make you want to take a nap instead of going to the parks! :)

Solar makes up for the unhealthy food they serve.

Coronavirus and Walt Disney World general discussion

I suppose an outbreak would be a cast member outbreak? We will never know how many guests get infected, since guests would be long gone and home before they test positive.

Coronavirus and Walt Disney World general discussion

I'm super hopeful, but logically you would think that phase 2 would increase the daily infection rates not lower it. Florida's phased plan is not very specific in how they will determine when phase 3 will start, and as I said before July the state offices are fully opening. Technically any...

Coronavirus and Walt Disney World general discussion

I'm more worried about the spread than death rate. There's a long time window where people are pre-symptomatic and spreading it. The spreaders are the ones going around with no masks. I was kidding when I said Florida may close again. For example, Florida is requiring state employees to fully...

Disney Springs testing new no-stop security scanner for new entry screening when the parks reopen

It's probably not going to catch everything, but it's good enough for general crowded areas.

Coronavirus and Walt Disney World general discussion

Florida's phased plan is supposed to only go forward if the "downward trend" continued. Since the trend is upward I guess we're all going to close down again. lol!

News Walt Disney World's COVID-19 reopening plans announced - July 11

I want to see the room cleaning diagram before all this? Less sparkles no doubt.

News Walt Disney World's COVID-19 reopening plans announced - July 11

Your AP's start the next time you go, so you're good. You are not an AP until you have activated your vouchers (if they still call them that) and vouchers are good for years. The only reason you'd want a refund is if you needed the money badly or you never want to go to Disney again! :cool...

News Walt Disney World's COVID-19 reopening plans announced - July 11

No, Disney has not issued any AP refunds yet, and they are claiming the "partial refund" will only be for the months they are closed March 16 -July 11, which calculates to be up to 25% max of what you paid, which is a total rip off. Disney is not telling anyone what the amount will be, nor will...

News Walt Disney World's COVID-19 reopening plans announced - July 11

What gets me is unless you're an AP you really have no skin in the game. Oh you have a room reservation? ADR? DVC? You can just cancel (or bank or sell or rent). But AP's cannot get a real refund or even sell them. I'm hoping that changes. Lucky for us we only have 2 silvers, but imagine...

News Walt Disney World's COVID-19 reopening plans announced - July 11

So more things taken away like resort hopping, half the reason we GO to Disney, and still no word on a bigger refund or extension for passholders. It's still set to resume on July 11. Frustrating losing $$$.
