    First timers to WDW

If you get park hopper tickets, then you don't have to do a whole day in one park, go in the morning when the park opens stay for about 5 or 6 hours and then go back to your resort and take a break....NAP!! never, ever do a whole day in any park, you will regret it and be barking at the family...

Remy at Epcot Chef de France

Wish he wasn't only in the resturant, I really have no wish to go to that one, really not my taste. But that is a very good animatronic, my son asked why we can't understand him or why he doesn't talk, and I said that in the movie humans couldn't understand him either, ..............hey that...

Capturing magic moments b4 the battery dies!

Two of the kodak cameras that I've had used AA's, I have always used duracell NiMH batteries, and over the last 10 or so years I figure they have saved me at least 1,000.00 in batteries. Yes they don't last forever, but I carry 8 to 10 pairs, they are not heavy and easy to maintain. While at the...

What kind of Disney fan are you?

Being from Jersey, since we have been to WDW 19 times from 1997, some would think we are fanatical. But having been a member here for at least 6 years, I feel we are just mild fans, considering that there people here who go almost every weekend, convience of the fact that they live close to the...

The one thing I can say is that no matter how long it is before you go,it takes forever to get here, and when it does it goes by way too fast then it's over.

    The Great Stroller Debate

If you don't feel like carring around the 2 strollers they have double strollers that you can rent, and when you go back to your room for a rest, ( YOU WILL GO BACK TO YOUR ROOM FOR A REST!! ) do not do a commando day, but you just hold onto the receipt and use it at the next park that same day...

"We only found one ride in Epcot"

I know the feeling too, I have a co-worker who is going with her daughter and mom and sister and her son. I've made suggestions and she has taken them and passed them on to the rest of the family. I referred them to KK, mother went to another travel agent, her sister was dead set on going to DTD...

    Old Key West Question

Yes there is, we've used it many times while there. Nice slow ride, they take you past the treehouse villas, may make a stop at SSR,but otherwise a nice relaxing ride.

How Long Have You Lived in the World?

Too bad that in the US, jobs look down on long vacations. In some cases they try to get you take an extra paycheck rather than let you go anywhere that keeps you from your job. I'd love to take more than a week at a time, I get 4 weeks, but then if we were allowded to go for more than a week, we...

    Wilderness Lodge Question?

The other thing is that you can't really swim in the lakes at WDW because of the bacteria in the water, so all you can do is sit in the beach lounges they have on the shores. But still, not a bad way to relax even if you can't go in the water.

    Best Hotel Pool

BCV/YC by far the best. Spread out very well, sandy bottom, nice surprise the first time I went down the slide. The nice thing about it is if you want to go slow you can, but if you want to go fast no problem there either. And plenty of things to do for the kids.

    Wilderness Lodge Question?

First, Welcome to the boards fellow jerseyitte, second, I do know that they have them at all the beach areas of CSR, GF, and I believe also at BCV. We've come up to WL from Bay Lake and even though they have beach areas I've never seen any hammocks there, but that doesn't mean they don't. Never...

    Mickey Breaks It Down :-D

I would agree, but maybe also Hong Kong, it would be the only places that at some point during the year they would have to wear clothes that heavy because of the cold.

What attraction do you hit first?

When our family first started to go, in 1997, we would always go on SSE, our sons were 4 and 2 1/2, it was a slow calm ride. Now that they are older we ask them what do they want to do, so it's not always the same, but we do and always must go on SSE as a family at least once during our stay.

I almost ended up in the Twilight Zone tonight!

My only problem with the ride every time my sons drag me on it, (mind you it is a really good attraction, but not one of my favs), is every time I do go on it it happens to be the time that it drops you 5 FREAKIN TIMES!!!! Why not 3 or 2, no 5. And now that I just turned 50 every time they drag...

How were the tunnels at the MK built?

Because the water table was so shallow in that area they had to start from the ground up in stead of digging down, it would have one taken longer to build MK, and 2 cost more. So, and as you can see it worked out very well.
