Wilderness Lodge Question?

Are there any hammocks on the grounds at wilderness lodge? Thanks in advance!
First, Welcome to the boards fellow jerseyitte, second, I do know that they have them at all the beach areas of CSR, GF, and I believe also at BCV. We've come up to WL from Bay Lake and even though they have beach areas I've never seen any hammocks there, but that doesn't mean they don't. Never stayed there, but have been through a fare amount of the resort. Just call the resort if you want to they will be able to tell you if they do.

sounds good.....thanks for the welcome....most of the resorts we have stayed at...poly, cb, swan/dolphin all have hammocks. They are great to unwind after a long day at the parks. I assumed that they would since WL is on the beach but we all know what happens when you assume.

The other thing is that you can't really swim in the lakes at WDW because of the bacteria in the water, so all you can do is sit in the beach lounges they have on the shores. But still, not a bad way to relax even if you can't go in the water.

The beach is quite small and I have only seen lounge chairs on the beach. However there are rocking chairs in the lobby in front of the fireplace and there are some lounge areas with comfy furniture on different levels above the lobby, I can't remember which floor(s). There are also some balconies that you can go out & sit on as well. I actually have a picture from the balcony that looks out toward the pool on my desktop right now. Can't wait until our next trip in May:D

I don't recall ever seeing hammocks at WL. Virtually all the rooms do have balconies, as I recall. There are some ground-level rooms facing the pool that have patios, if I recall. There may also be a few rooms facing the parking lot that don't have balconies. But I've never stayed in a room there that didn't have a balcony and we've been there about half-a-dozen times.

do all the rooms have balconies? Would you recommend any specific area or floor, or not recommend. We have a standard room reservation.

I prefer an upper floor room, no real reason why???? I guess mostly because I would prefer to have a balcony rather than a patio. FYI the standard rooms are located above the main lobby and it can get very loisy.

Another New Jersey Disney fan--welcome! I don't recall hammocks at the WL, but the balcony was my favorite place to hang out, other than the hot tubs! I also prefer a balcony to a patio; it just seems a little more private. Have a wonderful time!
