    May -June OR June-July

F&G festival ends the same weekend SWW will theoretically begin. If you would like to hit up both of those events, prefer a somewhat smaller crowd, and like discounts, I would suggest May. However, if you're touring DHS on a SWW, you will run into larger crowds.

    Stroller debate!!!!

Oooh, forgot to add: hopefully my oldest will actually be tired at the end of the day! Fingers crossed! No more yelling at the girls to, "Get to bed!" because all that fresh air and walking will theoretically tire her out. However, I'll have to keep a normal bedtime routine if I want to stave...

    Stroller debate!!!!

Ah, the great stroller debate! There is no right or wrong answer to this, and frankly, it boils down to you knowing your child best. "Yes," kids have been able to tour WDW in years past sans stroller as young as 4...but let's face it, times they are a changing. The parks are bigger, there's...

    DVC Activation code......

Ah, it is what it is! You're very fortunate to be able to become DVC members at a "younger" age! I hate to say it, but even now when my DH and I travel with our DD's, we don't always get the "Welcome Home" as soon as we walk thru the doors. Instead, we are "welcomed" by the CM checking us in...

    DVC Activation code......

I would call your DVC rep and inquire. Typically, if all your financials and paperwork were in order at the time you signed, you would receive a call from Quality Assurance within a week. "Jambo" and "Welcome Home!"

French bakery for breakfast without International Gateway?

Walk toward World Showcase (from EP's main entrance) and head right toward Canada. Once you get to the bridge that connects UK and France pavilions, you will come across a CM. Said CM will inform you that you can go as far as France and that the bakery is open for breakfast. There will be a...

    Will we regret Contemporary

Reviews are subjective, and people are quicker to write a bad review rather than a give accolades for a good experience. Put it this way: which park are you more likely to visit...MK or EP? Honestly, I don't think you can go wrong with any of the resorts you listed! My good reviews: WL: best...

getting to a ard at crystal palace on time..

In November 2012, I had scheduled an 8:15 a.m. ressie at CP, and when we arrived at MK at 7:30 a.m. (caught the 7 a.m. bus from AKV to the park), the front entrance was already crowded. Came to find out that the "powers that be" added an AM EMH for that morning about a week out from our...

Animal Kingdom Lodge: Kidani Village or Jambo House

The Animal Kingdom Villas are our home resorts, with both Jambo House and Kidani Village having their pros and cons. After many stays at both resorts as DVC members, here's what I've deduced: 1. Jambo House is a more convenient stay when family is in tow. The quick-service restaurant, Mara...

    Inside the GF DVC

You have no idea how much I appreciate this post!!! My family and I switched our DLR vacation to WDW because VGF became available! Sooooo, long story short, I've been obsessing over what the resort will "turn out like"...I realize that in 20 days, there will probably be more pictures and...

    Using WDW DVC at DL

Just to give you some perspective at how VGC can book up: -our original plan was to FINALLY visit DLR in Feb. 2014, so the morning of July 8th, I was on the computer and booked a dedicated 2-bedroom for 5 nights at VGC. -a month later, we added more points to our DVC membership, and were able to...

    Planning Your Disappointment ....

When my family and I went this past June, we actually welcomed the rain! Crowds seemed to disappear, save the poncho wearers!

Trip Report The "Where Do I begin" Trip Report.....

Firstly, thank you for sharing! I have no complaints about your WDW complaints...in fact, I had similar situations this past June!! Many of your CM experiences were the same for me: i.e. little eye contact, sometimes simply ignoring guests, the "I know nothing" lackadaisical attitudes, poor...

    First Time AK Villas

Not so much info about the room (because you've already received great information), but about the resort itself. Busses: This is the biggest complaint about this gorgeous resort, and I've had several first-hand experiences because it's my "home resort." Busses are shared between Jambo...

    MNSSHP day planning

Well, first off, I would suggest hitting up any rides or attractions before the party officially begins at 7 p.m.. Once the party starts, there are too many great shows and trick-or-treat trails to participate in rather than trying to jam in lots of rides that you can do on a non-event day...

    MNSSHP day planning

I think your current plan is just fine! Out of curiosity though,: how many "days" are your park tickets? I only ask because you can enter MK as early as 4-4:30 p.m. with your MNSSHP tickets (entry will probably be on the far right, where you'll be given a wristband that must be displayed), and...
