Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railway confirmed

I’d imagine that 10 minute number includes the pre-show. In a way, we’re going back to the opening heyday of MGM and Universal, where the queue ends with a walkthrough of some sort before the ride actually starts.

Rumor of Pixar Land coming to DHS

Having been to Pixar Pier, its contents would not be a good add for DHS. The park needs more to do, but we already have the best part (Toy Story Mania). If they must pull from it, bring over the Critter Carousel for Toy Story Land, but nothing else is worth bothering with. We'd be much better...

    FASTPASS Coming to “Monsters Inc.”

Wait, worst? We thought it was one of the better rides in the park when we went in 2018. Granted, the outside placemaking is awful, but that whole land feels cursed anyways.

Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railway confirmed

I will say that the effects don’t have to be mind blowing for it to still be a really fun ride. I’m excited that the parks use innovative technology, but I’m worried we as guests are becoming too focused on whether or not a ride is “groundbreaking” than whether or not it’s fun. Just look at...

Changes for Galaxy's Edge Temporarily On Hold

As I understand it, he would be joining you on the new mission in some way, so instead of flying alongside Hondo’s ship, you’d be flying alongside the Razor Crest.

Changes for Galaxy's Edge Temporarily On Hold

There was a rumor that Falcon would be getting a new mission to both address it’s current flaws (and ratings) and allow them to capitalize on The Mandalorian’s success. That would certainly seem like a logical play, and with season 2 on the way they could get the most out of the synergy of it all.

News New movie coming Epcot's Canada Pavilion

We had just a few guests exit as the song began, but I liked the choice to sign off before the last song, almost like they were like “Okay, now just enjoy the beauty, no more jokes or exposition”. Overall, this was a lovely update, and I hope it gets some good traffic beyond these opening...

VQ/BGs (Virtual Queues/Boarding Groups)... Yay or Nay? (Better alternatives?)

Right, which is why if they opened up a UK spinner next after Rise then Rise would still be Standby only until the next attraction after that opened. Most rides open at least one year apart, so that gives them two full years per ride to get it running reliably enough to handle Fastpass. Rise...

VQ/BGs (Virtual Queues/Boarding Groups)... Yay or Nay? (Better alternatives?)

I guess it depends on if said carousel is gonna be part of the Fastpass+ system or not. If it is, it goes into that system, but if not, it just opens and nothing changes for the system above until the next D or E-Ticket opens. As to the second point, Disney seems hellbent on utilizing Fastpass+...

VQ/BGs (Virtual Queues/Boarding Groups)... Yay or Nay? (Better alternatives?)

I think that the procedure should be: Newest ride - Boarding Groups 2nd Newest - Standby Only 3rd Newest - Fastpass+ and Standby To me, this is the most guest and operations-friendly way to handle things. The Boarding Groups keep the six hour lines away because they can control the number of...

Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance

Could it be that Ops wants to add vehicles to start raising capacity, but the higher ups are vetoing for fear of more breakdowns?

News Announced: Mary Poppins Attraction in UK Pavilion

I believe the Frozen overlay was $75 million.

News Tron coaster coming to the Magic Kingdom

I’ve gotta say, I’d rather patterns of grey than just the blue of Shanghai’s version. It’s still not theming, per say, but if I have to see the box, I’d prefer *some* level of visual interest.

Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railway confirmed

I hadn’t given much thought to the familiarity aspect, which could absolutely play a part. Still, I think what I bolded in your response says it all. Na’Vi is very expensive and impressive, but at the end of the ride there’s this feeling that we didn’t do or see much, despite being bombarded...

Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railway confirmed

And yet, I’d argue Frozen Ever After is a more successful and engaging attraction. All the detail in the world can’t save you if there’s not also good pacing and solid storytelling to go along with it.

News Remy's Ratatouille Adventure coming to Epcot

I think the facade as it currently is looks far less cartoonish and much more seamless with regard to the rest of the pavilion in person. Photos never tell the whole story.

Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railway confirmed

So basically the crowds are peaking at opening rather than midday? I think with Studios the question becomes, are people staying longer (and spending more money)?

Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railway confirmed

They could, but I doubt they would.

Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railway confirmed

It certainly would be. An alternative would be to put Falcon on Fastpass, make Rise go standby only, and put Mickey on virtual queue. The problem is, if Rise still isn’t reliable enough to run near full capacity they’ll be hesitant to move away from the virtual queue, which would leave them...

Star Wars Land announced for Disney's Hollywood Studios

Completely agreed. Batuu needs shows on all those stages before literally anything else happens, and while I enjoy Falcon as is, everything about the attraction screams out that it’s meant to have multiple missions, especially when you start listening to how vague the Hondo animatronic pre-show...
