The Chit Chat Chit Chat Thread

One of the hardest things is having to leave for the next delivery when someone lonely just wants you to stick around for simple conversation. And you would be surprised at some people who put away what little they get to share with someone else, even if that someone else does not show up, they...

I did not mean to sound so harsh, just dealing with a lot of need right now from a lot of families and to top it off, donations are down while demand is up significantly. Spam is one of the most appreciated and most requested items, probably because of its shelf life and because it can be cooked...

I made one of my favorites for lunch today. It is cold and windy and I wanted something warm and filling. I made what I call leftover stew. It started with a can of Progresso beef and barley soup, then I started tossing in leftovers including some leftover roasted potatoes, onion, broccoli...

Well Ok, not sure how I managed to post that twice. Oh, well. Now I can't find the delete option for the double post. It used to be right at the bottom. Maybe it is my browser.

For me it is pretty simple. I came from a dirt poor upbringing. We had nothing. No, to get up to nothing we had to borrow something or it would be less than nothing. Anyway, I remember lots of hungry days and nights as a kid. The best meals were when we visited grandad and granny or the free...

We watched it too. Pretty cool, but the separation was a bit more than I was expecting. I sorta expected one big glow, but there was still a distinct, but small separation between the two planets. I enjoy grilling and have for many years. Today I made the best chicken I have ever made. I marinated some boneless, skinless thighs in a mixture of ranch dressing, Italian dressing, minced garlic, olive oil and black pepper and let all those flavors blend all day in the fridge. I then grilled...

    Should we be social distancing?

Interesting first post. I am a bit shocked and dismayed a major UK long haul airline would not be doing extensive, ongoing training on the how and why of social distancing, therefore already answering your question.

Big pot of chili and sour cream cornbread for dinner tonight. The cornmeal is from a nearby gristmill and is ground by water driven stones. The granary still uses the original 1500 pound stones first used at the mill in 1876.

We have been on a trip and got home yesterday, so today one of the first things I wanted to do was make something on the pellet grill. Decided on a cajun marinated pork tenderloin. My wife made pan roasted veggies, baked beans and rolls to go with it.
