They are all year round now, but the Brazillian dollar has tanked, so the groups are much smaller and better behaved that previous years.We don't see them as often and as plentiful in the local hotels (and I work locations from I-Drive to 192, and on Disney Property).

DEFINITELY DO IT! I love doing the parks alone, it's a whole other experience! You will not regret it at all! And when you check in at the hotel to drop off your bags, check and see if they have a convention rate ticket for WDW. It may save a few dollars and time at the ticket booth. :)

It varies by park: MK and Epcot are night time, for sure. DHS, either is fine. DAK is the best EARLY in the morning, I have done a 6 AM Everest walk-through and seeing the park that way was ASTONISHING. I have never looked at DAK the same way.

Why do you need FP+ and Rider Switch? If you FP+ a ride for everyone, you have a 1-hour window to use it. So, 2 or 3 go it with the older child, while the other 2 or 3 stay with baby, then switch. It won't take an hour for one group to get through the FP+ queue line.

I am terrified of them. I will not walk under a beam with a monorail on it. With as many times as I have been on them recently and had to make "emergency stops" that I am certain that something bad is coming involving a monorail.

I always recommend Sci-Fi. I love the atmosphere and actually enjoy the food. They have the BEST milkshakes there too. I am not a fan of the server antic at Prime Time, I do however, like Whispering Canyon. Also, maybe you could try Mama Melrose. I love that place!
