I'd say half of it was the recession, and the other half was that it was Jay Rasulo's pet project (well, along with all of those mini-Disneylands that he wanted to build across the country) and no one else was all that keen on it. When he left, Night Kingdom went with him.

Disneyland and Walt Disney World are the only two resorts that are completely owned by Disney. As for the rest: -Tokyo Disneyland is 100% owned and operated by the Oriental Land Company (with, as GOT2SAMMIES pointed out, Disney getting licensing/franchise fees at around 10% each year)...

If I'm not mistaken, that was actually a feature on the original Disneyland Dumbo. I'm not sure why it was removed, though.

My favorite park is Disneyland, followed closely by Epcot. Then I'd rank them Magic Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, Animal Kingdom, California Adventure. I haven't been to any of the overseas parks, and I haven't been to the two water parks in a while so I really wouldn't know where to rank them.

IMO the Metroliner is a much better name than the PeopleMover or the Tomorrowland Transit Authority.

They didn't have private homes in Florida for a good 20 years, and people seemed to manage just fine. Who said anything about going to the hotel to see them? They have meet and greets in every park, it's not like you have to go out of your way to find them...
