    Annual Passholder Question

We're planning on going in 2.5 years when the little guy is 4 years old...will the vouchers still be good to activate that far in the future? It'll be great to get them early and avoid the annual pass price increase!

    Siemens to redo Spaceship Earth?

Anyone say Sean Connery? Very distinctive voice to say the least. How about Buzz Lightyear himself, Tim Allen? He's a Disney contract player so he'll be easy to get. Why not have multiple narrators splitting the duties, like a male and female. You could get Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta...

    Land clearing in Animal Kingdom?

Check out Windows Live Local, that area by Asia is now all Everest.:brick:

    What is/was the STOL Airport?

Here's a stumper then...if the Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom are no fly zones than why does Expedition Everest need to be below 200' or require a beacon if higher? It's a no-fly zone so it should not matter. Or is it for "just in case"? :lookaroun

countries that shouldnt be in the world showcase

How about Israel? I guess the problem there is who do you hire to staff it and how to you stop them from endlessly fighting amongst them, though that may lend the country a certain air of authenticity wouldn't it? I think Russia, with a scaled version of Red Square and St. Basil's...

    Interesting DAK Article @ LP

Maybe there's a chance for Antarctica then...maybe I'll send in my resume right now to Imagineering so they can use my ice cave aquarium idea! :animwink: They could have cold air blowers like in the old Ice Station Cool at the entrance to the land. Seriously though, I think that it would be...

    Interesting DAK Article @ LP

I thought I read here that the problem with Australia was that the animals are quite small and are mostly nocturnal? Instead of Australia they should have an Antarctic land. They could have an underground aquarium/ stadium show set inside of an ice cave with penquins and seals and...

How Long Does It Take You To Get To Disney World.

Same with me from Windsor. Left at 3:00am and stopped the first night in Macon, Georgia. We left at 5:00am the next morning and were at the Magic Kingdom by noon. Ohio is best seen in the darkness of night! :snore: The only stretch of road that beats Ohio is Windsor to Toronto...nothing but...

The Harry Potter Cauldron Perks Again!

Your experience eh? Star Wars is just as popular today as it was 10 years ago and 10 years before that. Check the box office from the past 3 movies (Phantom Menace $431,081,00, Attack of the Clones $310,675,000, Revenge of the Sith $380,262,555). Not too shabby...I think many people know who...

    Haunted Mansion Holiday

See I think I would miss the Ghost Host and the music most. Call me a dweeb but I even have the Grim Grinning Ghosts organ music on a CD that I listen to at home (along with other ride soundtracks). Hey, when you're lucky to get to Florida once every 5 years you find ways to "keep the magic...

    Haunted Mansion Holiday

I love the Haunted Mansion, it's my favorite attraction at Disney World, and I happen to love it the way it is. Personally, I would not want any sort of Nightmare Before Christmas holiday version to taint what I feel is perfect already. It would be like if they had all of the pirates in POTC...

12/15 Everest Photo Update with Sign close-up

Splash Mountain has a huge water resevoir backstage. I saw it on the Keys to the Magic Kingdom tour in 2003. That alone probably takes up a good portion of the square footage

The Hulk at WDW - Confused co-worker

My friend and his wife went down to both in the summer. They insisted that they got their phot taken with Scooby Doo at the Magic Kingdom. I tried to correct them but they were adament so I finally gave up. This was the first trip to WDW for them and they ended up taking 7 photos total of all 4...

    Rant: Kilimanjaro Safari from Hell!

I saw a show on the Travel Channel on Animal Kingdom and it explained that every ride vehicle has a GPS device on it so Control can tell exactly where each vehicle is on the course. This is because the ride course is so large and there are so many vehicles out at once (40 I believe). Being able...

    Attention: Canadians with a TiVo!!!

That's not a surprise, I think Colin is as funny as a swift kick in the groinage. Probably funded by the government's television fund for Canadian content and another good example of our tax money going to good use :brick: The CTV Travel Channel had a special 1.5 hour show on in September all...

    The Great Movie Ride update!

Pearl Harbour? No coincidence that it's a Touchstone Pictures movie?? Come on Disney, at least choice movies from your own collection that are not symbols for the decline of Hollywood quality!! :hammer: Even Chicago and Pirates is way stretching the "classic" catagory requirement...

    Trip lengths.

Depends on if you're driving or flying. It takes approx. 18 hours to drive from the Detroit area (some have done it in 14 but I have no idea how) so we would take 10 days or 2 full work weeks off. If we fly it would just be 8. Altogether we usually spend 7 days and nights actually at WDW.

The "Not Going Soon" Support Group

Last time my wife and me went down was October 2003. The next time will be November 2008 in time for our son's 4th birthday (he's only 11 months right now). We're also planning on surprising our parents by bringing them as well for a truely magical vacation. We can't wait and being the...

    MNSSHP Costumes That Stick out

Last time we went in 2003 there was a guy in full stormtrooper outfit...helmet, blaster, everything. The costume was movie quality as well. VERY COOL. Not a cast member either becuase he had the helmet off a few times. He was popular for photo ops I'll tell you that!!
