    PO French Quarter or Riverside?

French Quarter Riverside rooms are OK, but the resort is really spread out, a lot of walking. FQ is more compact, easier to get around. Besides, the buses always stop first at FQ, both going to the parks and coming back, which is great after a long day! Either way, you can't go wrong, but to...

    Best time to visit WDW??

Best time to go Late January isn't very crowded, and the weather can be gorgeous. Of course, it can be cold and wet, too, so you take your chances. Personally, I like going in late November/early December when the place is decked out for Christmas and all the festivities are going on. Next...

    Your Favorite WDW Memory!!!

Favorite memories I have so many there are too many to list. One is the first time I ever went to WDW. I grew up watching "Wonderful World of Disney" and dreaming about going to Disneyland. I never got there, however. So when my wife and I first arrived in the Magic Kingdom I felt like a little...

you KNOW you're a Disney snob when...

Spoiled About halfway through our local fireworks show, my wife leaned over and said "Disney World does it much better," at just about the same time the identical thought was going through my head. Next trip: Nov. 23, 2006, Port Orleans French Quarter:xmas:

    Candlelight Processional?

Cp The Candlelight Processional is one of the highlights of the holiday season at WDW. We saw Brian Denehy narrate a few years ago. It is a memorable experience. I would recommend the CP dinner package. We'll be there this November. Can't wait.:xmas:

    Disney Golf Question!

Great courses I agree with Wilary, all the courses are great, and all have their own particular appeal. The Palm and Magnolia are older, more classic designs, while Osprey Ridge and Eagle Pines have a more updated feel. Don't overlook Lake Buena Vista, which often seems to be forgotten, maybe...

Port Orleans - Riverside or French Quarter?

French Quarter My family has stayed in both and we prefer FQ. Riverside is too spread out, too far to walk from the man lobby area to the room, likewise from the room to the bus stop. FQ is more compact, easier to get around. Besides, FQ folks always get picked up and dropped off first on the...

Your First Trip To Walt Disney World!

The first time My first time was in 1983 when I was 31 (yes, I'm old). I dreamed of going to Disneyland as a child, but never got to go. I felt just like a little kid during my first visit to WDW. I still do, everytime I go.:p

Port Orleans French Quarter or Riverside?

French Quarter My wife and I have stayed at both, and much prefer French Quarter. It is compact, it is beautifully landscaped and it is romantic. POFQ guests are picked up by Disney buses before those at Riverside, and are dropped off first.

    Does It Feel Like WDW?

Resort preferences Port Orleans (either French Quarter or Riverside) are both very well themed and both definitely possess that Disney feel. Ditto Caribbean Beach. We also have stayed at Coronado Springs and didn't enjoy it quite as much. Coming back to POFQ Nov. 23, 2006:)
