MVMCP for a "young" couple

Hello fellow Disney World Fans. I've been lurking here for many years now and am need of some advice for my wife and I.

We're traveling to WDW Dec 9-15 and will be there for some of the Christmas festivities. As two "young adults" with no children, would you suggest attending the MVMCP? Neither one of us have done this, so I'm leaning towards yes, but from the descriptions I see online, it seems to be geared more towards smaller children.

Thoughts... Opinions...

TIA.

Actually, we are going in December and trying to figure out how we can go WITHOUT the kids....

We went year 2 B.K. (before kids) of our marriage.... stayed until it closed... awesome! We were on Splash Mountain and saw the Green and Red Fireworks launching over the castle just as we got to the "open" part of the ride... very romantic. Led to a fun night afterwards in the tower room balcony of the Contemporary, but we won't go into that here.

We took the kids a couple of years ago and they started dragging - bad - around 9:30... got to be a bummer. This year we may send them back to the hotel with their grandparents.

It's the best!

I think you should go for it. We went last year but, we have kids, but I thought it would be real nice and romantic to go just the two of us. The show and parade are real nice. Walking along Main Street USA with the snow falling is real nice, and kind of romantic.

Also when we went the lines were short, and many we could get off and on over and over. In fact Splash Mountain they let us stay on for two or three times, without getting off.

We went on a weeknight which I think helps the crowds. We liked it so much going again this year. Hopefully when the kids are older my wife and I will enjoy it just the two of us.

Have Fun.

I'd say go for it. My girlfriend, and I are in our 20's with no children (yet), and we went to Mickey's not so scary HP last October. It was great, so I think the Christmas party should be a great time for you. Have fun

We're in our late 20s/early 30s, and we had SUCH a good time when we went--and we don't have kids! We ate cookies and drank hot cocoa and saw the parade on Main Street and watched the snow and got our picture taken and went on Space Mountain....

Yes. You should go. :)

OH YEA! Go to the party! We went last year during our honeymoon trip. It was neat. The snow was quite nifty. The cookies and cocoa were good too!:xmas:

FYI: We like the MNNSHP better. Oh well, have fun.:)

My husband and I, 34 and 32 (no kids), went last December...it was absolutely the best time we had the whole trip! We loved the whole trip of course, but there was just something extra magical about MVMCP...we were like little kids running around riding Splash 3 times, then BTMR 3 times, not to mention all the other stuff, with no lines! It was awesome! Don't think twice, just do it!

Not so young

MVMCP is a definite must do! My wife and I are not exactly a young couple (both in our 50s) but we love it anyway. We have tickets for Nov. 27 and can't wait!:xmas:

Ditto!!
No kids = freedom to stay as long as you want, doing what you want without the little ankle-bitters...errr, darlings, I mean.

Same here. Love and I have been to both MVMCP and MNSSHP without kids. Disney lets you have fun and be childlike no matter what your age. You don't need kids with you to have a good time. Heck, Love and I dressed up on Halloween and so did like 90% of the guests that night too - adults and kids alike! :)

Have fun and enjoy.
