Disneyland's Tom Sawyer Island to close (will WDW's follow suit?)

I say TSI would be a perfect place for the Harry Potter dark ride.(Note: sarcasm) In all seriousness I need to see what comes of DLand's version before I can pass judgement. But initially I say keep it TSI, it's the one place you can escape from the crowds and kick back a little.

YUCK! AK is in a MESS!

So let me get this straight. AK was so dirty and disheveled that you found yourself needing to leave YET you are going back the next day? Things that make you go Huh?

    Splash Mountain/Uncle Remus

One thing that kind of stings me a little bit with regard to not re-releasing "the Song of the South" on DVD is the fact that Disney is selling 60th ann. statues and collectibles in the online store. I kind of think if you are going to sell these items to the public you should also offer the...

    Quick question....

Today I was at the World of Disney Store in NYC and they had matted 8 x 10's of the attractions for $35. I saw you were from Conn. and thought that you could swing down to NYC easier than Fla.

    Older WDW T-shirts

Speaking of t-shirts, the Disney Store has some cool new shirts called the "Disney Studio collection" for adults, kids and even infants. I was kind of nervous when the store was bought out about the quality but I am glead to say these new shirts are a great addition.

    New and info WDW 7-17

From everything i've read in the last few months, it seems that the parks are getting some of the TLC that they've badly needed. And I assume with the new regime most of the attrastions will get the same treatment with time.

Ex Disney dancer is Playmate of the year

I guess there is something about we Northeasterners (if that is a word). We're all cold and jaded. Although I am glad that we're who we are. In the words of a great woman "I feel like eating myself." when it comes to reading this thread with all of the holier than thou attitudes. PS: brich...

Ex Disney dancer is Playmate of the year

I guarantee you that this woman will get more work out of being in Playboy and being the "Playmate of the year" than any character work she did with Disney. Being a princess is just part of her background to go along with any other jobs she may have had. And where do you get off thinking she is...

Ex Disney dancer is Playmate of the year

"First of all...getting pregnant is not degrading. If you think it is, well...then I know what kind of person you are." I was referring to S-E-X, and it was sarcasm! I just want to let you know a little inside Disney stuff, the people playing these beloved characters aren't really those...

Ex Disney dancer is Playmate of the year

Equating "guys drooling and doing things to her picture in Playboy" and "They might as well be holding a picture of her as Cinderella hugging a 4 year old girl" is a little twisted on your part. What are you implying by that statement? I know everyone wants to live in the Ozzie and Harriet days...

Ex Disney dancer is Playmate of the year

I can't see how anyone has a problem with this. I assume she is no longer employed by Disney. I think it's sometimes foolish to say that "Walt would be disappointed" because the man has been gone for over 30 years and a lot has changed. Instead of worrying about what he would have said on this...

Walt Disney on eBay (Mouse Surplus)

While I agree it doesn't look like Walt Disney. I must say that when I went to Madam Tuseau's (sp.) in NYC almost all of the statues I thought looked pretty darn real. However when you get home and look at the photos they don't look nearly as real as you remember them.

Never been to Tom Sawyer Island...

It makes you wonder how many attractions we take for granted, like Tom Sawyer Island and the Liberty Belle.

Millionaire to be closed and Replaced w/ ride.

my point was simply, make a ride about something other than "Toy Story" to draw kids into the Disney magic utilize all of the characters. I never saw the Song of the South but now am itching to because of the ride. I never saw "the Wind in the Willows" but I sure as heck loved Mr. Toad's Wild...

Millionaire to be closed and Replaced w/ ride.

To be truthful, i'm a little "Toy Story"d out. Why not utilize movies like "the Incredibles" & "Chicken Little" If using the 4D technology these two movies may be a great choice.

    Parade watching

There is NO better place to watch or videotape a MK parade than from the second floor of the train station. You get the view of all of Main Street with the castle in the background, you get a birds eye view of the entire parade. Show up early, like an hour.

    A Walt animatron?

it's good to respect his wishes, but imagine how neat it would be. i think it would be greater than any e-ticket ride they could ever create. if i were to create a walt disney audi-animatronic it would be where the carousel of progress currently is. i know the cop is a sacred ride around here...

    The mayor of mainstreet?

isn't it great that on this website people learn new things like the main street characters. i guess i just always took those characters for granted. if people took their time they'd notice the little things that make wdw even more special, like tinkerblell in the drawers at the tinkerbell shop...
