Events for Food and Wine Festival ?

Another Alabamian here. (Birmingham, as well.) I'll just have to be jealous of all of you going to the park. I'm not going to make it back till next year! And, on a side note, Martin's videos of Horizons and World of Motion are fantastic! I regularly watch them to get over the pain of...

dealing with a guest who was rude to a CM

exactly why... That is exactly why I make it a point to humiliate any person who abuses the castmembers. I publicly mock them and do my utmost to make them look like fools (which is not hard when you have good material to work with:)). I'm often thanked (quietly) by the victimized castmember...

dealing with a guest who was rude to a CM

awesome! Dude, you are so the man! Good for you, and I wish the earth was populated with more people like you! It's good to see you stand up for what's right. And if you had gotten in trouble, you could always claim that IASW drove you to it. Justifiable knockdown or something.

    Your most relaxing moment

My wife and I like (or is it "liked"? please don't close it) to get a coffee and dessert from the Fountain View and watch the fountain do it's thing in Innoventions Plaza. Very pretty at night and so relaxing. Then the place was closed after dark on our last trip down...bummer.

    I just want some icecream....

What's funny was trying to get in the last "thank you" with one of the Japanese guests. You would say "thank you", then they would say "thank you", and before you knew it, a verbal tennis match had begun. After the third time through the rotation, I would gladly except defeat...realizing that...

    Pirateland

total agreement The degree to which I agree with your statement cannot be measured by any existing instrument... I love reading about pirates. I own multiple historical and fiction books upon the subject. (Not to mention owning several DVDs about it, as well.) But there are so many great...

    I just want some icecream....

Japanese guests In my experience at WDW, I never met anyone more courteous than the Japanese people. They were always an absolute delight to deal with.

    I just want some icecream....

I certainly agree that rude people are present in all nationalities, races, etc. When I was a CM at the House of Magic from 91-94, I had a very simple solution to guests (of all nationalities, mind you) cutting to the front of the register. I checked to see who was last in line when that...

YOU pick 1 Ride to Refurb........Which is it?

I'd choose Imagination...or as I like to call it "Abomination"...which is what it became when they completely destroyed it. Good thing I'm not bitter about it...

I'd say Tomorrowland at night and Adventureland by day. But I love the whole place, of course.

Shops to see at Downtown Disney

Another vote here for Art of Disney. I spent an hour in there and seriously contemplated the serious debt I could get into. Also, I quite enjoyed the Goofy Candy Company store. (Hope I got the name right.) Have fun!

    A Mostly-EPCOT Update

Yeah, I want this one on my desktop too. This is a beautiful shot! If only we could get a great ride back in those pyramids...sigh...still a great shot though!

    Who works for Disney?

a long while back... I was a Merchandise Host at The Market House/Disney & Co. in 1991. From 1992 to 1994, I was in The House of Magic. Both shops have since gone on to that great big mall in the sky... I really miss doing magic tricks for families all day. That was a blast!

    Who agrees?

Yeah, I certainly agree. I'm just a fan of that particular film, so that was just me wishing. Maybe they'll do a sequel someday...although that seems equally unlikely at this point.

    Who agrees?

While I agree that there's too much Pixar lately, I would like to see a good Incredibles attraction since I'm a fan of the film. Personally, I think computer technology (not to mention ride technology in general) would make for a great Tron attraction. Too bad the film wasn't good enough to...

    The Things You see....

an old favorite I was a Merchandise Host at the House of Magic from 92 - 94. (I was over in the Market House in 91 when I started.) During the parade one night in 94, a young kid came in and was looking at the magic tricks in the glass case where I was standing. He didn't speak English and...

    New SSE Narrator

Yeah, I'm always reading but never posting. Have to get with the times. I'm hurtling head first into the 20th century!!!

    New SSE Narrator

what about... Christopher Walken!!! Actually, I'm only joking... (imagine the guests throwing themselves to their deaths half way through the ride...) I personally really like the Morgan Freeman idea. He has a wonderful voice. Either him or Dennis Haysbert ("President Palmer" on 24)...
