    Cast members and magicbands

They could be interns, staying at a resort and the Magic Bands would have their room keys on them.

How do you plan Food and Wine?

Agree with prev responses, avoid weekends if possible at F&W. We learned the hard way not to eat and drink at every kiosk, we were tipsy before we'd gotten to France. We alternated food at one, drink at the next, and we shared our tastes of food when possible (except at Italy, I refuse to share...

    Collecting Pressed Pennies

I bought a metal hole punch at AC Moore and started a bracelet of mine, using jump rings on a chain. Looking forward to adding some weight to it this trip! When I was there in October, I could not find a penny machine at Grand Floridian, I had to do a quarter there, anyone know if there's one...

    Traveling with Pins?

I have a bunch on my backpack and never had an issue. I'm sure you have lockbacks on them, but in case you don't, you should :)

    Surprise Trip

-Don't ignore street performers, stop and watch the entertainment -Pose with characters and get photos taken, see if you can be as crazy and goofy as possible with your poses, instead of posing formally ("Surf" with Lilo and Stitch, "Cast a spell" with Sorcerer Mickey, "Steal a Prince" if you...

    Park Hopper

I don't think you should do a park-hopper. Your kids will be wiped out, and their experience will be diminished. What I would recommend is doing MK on a day when there are late Magic Hours. Go back to the resort for an early dinner, let the kids swim for an hour and recharge, away from the...

    Underrated Rides You Like

I second what other folks have posted! Stitch's Great Escape - I don't get the hate also love Philarmagic! And I love It's a Small World. I once went through 5 times in a row during magic Hours, at 2 am, I had the ride all to myself, and the Castmembers and I were laughing and giggling and...

    Ok... Dumb question but....

I'm the reverse of most folks, I don't do rope drop. As the guest of a castmember, I do not have the option of doing FP+ reservations before I get through the gates, so I plan my trip around late Magic Hours. During the day, I see all the characters, do the rides not open during Magic Hours...

    Memory Maker Opinions

I've stopped carrying my camera to the park, because of PhotoPass. (I still have my cell phone for candid shots) The PhotoPass folks have better cameras, they have primo spots set up, and their cameras are set for the lighting at night. Besides that, they are nice people. I've NEVER had a...

5 days for EPCOT/DHS/Animal Kingdom. NEED HELP

I'd agree with Chef Mickey, consider adding a park hopper, once you get there. Or, leave one day as a floater. I like to do shows, and 1 day isn't enough for me. Not sure when you were there last, but the main chops have been all in the same area, The Captain Jack thing and American Idol...

can we have your opinion on these restaurants

We enjoyed Biergarten, I was able to try spetzle and weiner snitzel for the first time. The band was playing when we were there, so fun entertainment. 50's Primetime, hearty, homestyle food. Loved the pot roast. The servers are wise cracking, chop busters. If you're thin skinned or can't...

Disney next week and overwhelmed with Dining!

Hi, when I've done dining plan, I usually save the TS for a big lunch or dinner, or for a character buffet bfast. The servings at Disney are substantial, I always ended up taking my desert to go back to the resort because I was too full, and I'm a husky gal who loves to eat! I find the...

Have you ever done a spontaneous trip?

Last trip, I decided 9 days ahead of trip. Magic Band waiting at Fort Wilderness when I arrived. Had to pay more for a cabin, it was all that was available at the last minute, but I got an awesome airfare deal and so it worked out about even. Planned around magic hours, so I didn't mind not...

    VISA Disney Rewards Dollars

Don't wait until you get to the park/resort to order the card, I have repeatedly had trouble transferring points when I needed to via cell phone or room phone at resort. There's also usually a line at guest relations. That said, I use my Disney Visa for EVERYTHING possible, gas, groceries...

    Arrival day tips??

Hi, I wouldn't make ADRs for arrival day, as I typically run into flight delays. You don't want to pay a penalty for missing a reservation because you were stuck in an airport. I usually relax, hit the pool, and do a table service meal at a resort, not necessarily the one I'm staying in. You...

do i need a FP for the fireworks/parades?

I'd say no. I've gotten a pretty relaxing spot for Illuminations at the furthest point from the entrance to the World Showcase. Crowds light, we were right at the wall. At Magic Kingdom, I usually get a good spot for Wishes and fireworks by the fence on or near the Bridge by the Rose garden...

Crumb Coffee Cake from Main St Bakery

Since Starbuck's took over, the coffee cake went away. I miss my buttery, crumbly, delicious breakfast cake! Has anyone had it elsewhere on property? *asks hopefully*

2015 Flower and Garden Festival Outdoor Kitchens

Last year I had the Frushi by Japan, oh, so good! Can't wait to have it again this year. And I have never been disappointed by any of the pasta offerings near Italy.

Feeling overwhelmed with all the schedules...are ADR really needed?

Prior to 2013, I always had success with walkups for sit down dinners. The last 4 trips, we were lucky once, at the China pavilion, just before closing. With the advent of Magic Bands, seat-of-the-pantsing it has gone bye-bye. I highly recommend ADRs.
