Don't know if anyone has brought this up but main reason you should have a passport on a cruise is boats don't wait. If for whatever reason you don't get back in time the ship will still leave. That will leave you on an island that is not U.S. property without proper ID to return in a timely manner.

I heard that at the last D23 event they announced that the houses would not be disappearing. While they would either be moved or even reconstructed there would still be something to represent Mickey and Minnie's houses on property. So they may be missing for some months they are not being wiped...
Has anybody besides me ever while in Magic Kingdom see the shuttle launch at night? That is an awesome sight. To see it go up like it is coming right out of Space Mountian is very cool.
I do remember seeing on another site that a temporary bridge was put in place at Splash Mountian from the backstage access road across to the ride structure. This was to assist with the refurbishment going on right now.
