  • NO (lol) you have to stay by 9/30 - we are going 11/20 - we can HOPE they extend something like that though! It would be awesome!!
Well since you lived that reality at AK that day...now you know! LOL We do the same thing though...everywhere else could be my great mid 70's. We get to AK and we are in the 80's BUT it is only a day so we don't mind! We usually do 2 days DHS, 2 days Epcot, 1 at AK, 1 at MK and our special "we have to drive home today" breakfast at either Epcot or MK (so far that is!) Hey, did you see mousesavers.com? Look at the first paragraph on the right...you can get into the Caribean OR PO French Qutr thru Travelocity for like $73 a night! BUT you have to go by 9/30 - XMAS: Yep she MUST be with Aunt Sandy on Christmas. Personally I would DIE to be at WDW that week but doesn't look like it's happening any time soon! LOL
And actually AK is the hottest park to be in when it's hot believe it or not because of all the fauna, plants, lay of the land and such. So the other parks are actually cooler and AK is the hottest of them all! LOL We finished up shopping this weekend. Got some great deals because Justice sends out these 40% off coupons (they are expensive and I won't shop there without that coupon!!! ha ha ha) - then Kohls and their $10 off coupons plus the 15% discount coupon on top of that.....I pretty much got Linds everything she needed for around $225 which I think is pretty darn good because when all was said and done IF I had paid full price...it would of been close to $400! so I'm happy. 12 is a hard age - they go thru so many things and go thru so much drama in school...glad I don't have to do it over again!

I want to go over Christmas week however my daughter forbids it LOL
I saw the Bob Loblaw Law Blog episode today...it's comedic genius! "We're not here to talk nonsense to Bob Loblaw."

A lot of the show is obscure pop culture references (We've discontinued the Bronco...we're trying to shed the whole "fugitive-on-the-run thing. This is the Escape!) and running jokes, so the comedy is lost on many people who join the show during mid-season. Our family watched it from Season One and continued chronologically.

By the way, if you look on the Wikipedia pages for each episode, they have a list of all of the insider jokes/cultural references, which makes the show even funnier. Check it out!
I'm in nearly the same boat as you...I wound up watching the first five minutes of the show and then turned it off since it was so horrible. At this point, the only show I know of that shows Jersey in an honest fashion is Cake Boss on the Food Network.

    Hey...hermano. :lookaroun
Oh, gosh don't remind me of that atrocity! I live in Central Jersey (not Seaside Heights ) but I have family that live in Absecon, which is around a five-ten minute drive from Atlantic City.

Recently Mitch Hurwitz confirmed the movie is a go, so I cannot wait! I've never laughed so hard at a television sitcom before.
Thank you for dropping by! I'm a huge fan of Arrested Development...I was referred to the series by a family member and now I'm hooked!

Did you use to live in Jersey?
Good morning - end of November is usually low to mid 70's.....that's how it was last year. 2 years ago we lucked out and it was mid 60's to about 70 at the peak of the day - perfect! I have to go when it's cooler like this because as much as I love the sun...I HATE the summer unless of parked I'm parked on a beach somewhere LOL I love the holidays so going over Thanksgiving affords us the opportunity to experience everything Disney and Holiday Disney and then coming home and experiencing it again over Christmas !!! ha haha!
Well I was stationed at Ft Hood, TX so can't take any credit for being from there...no any of my relatives! LOL And the count down sounds cool. I'm not great at trip reports but I do document daily because as much as I like viewing online photo albums...I print my hundreds of photos and place them in books with my "story" for Lindsay!
This is to funny! I was born in HACKENSACK!!! We didn't move from NJ until my Jr yr in HS-- dad got transferred to Michigan. I finished HS in MI & then enlisted in the Army ( I was a military police investigator) Did basic training at Ft. McClellan, AL-.Ft. Hood, TX was my first duty station & then re-enlisted for some really tough duty in Hawaii! Spent 3.5 years in HI & tried to make it as a civilian but after a yr--way to expensive. So in 1986 I got out-yep I'm an old fart. 52. However, I'm a very YOUNG 52 if you ask me-most people think I'm 40 - I blame my daughter because I actually had her at 40 LOL she preserved me ha ha! 115 days & counting - I can't wait! Still paying it off so my bonus on 8/13 better be a whopper - I did talk to Disney today & the girl on the phone said she expects some sort of room discount to come out that WILL cover my dates--sometime in August it should come out. I'm psyched because if that happens, & I can swing it, we ARE staying at POFQ - yeah!
I checked the Plaza at allears.net and it's sort of like a high end sandwich type place - looks yummy - I have Liberty Inn penciled in for Monday of our trip but it can be changed I'm sure if I get a hankering!!! LOL CA Grill is very high end but I figure I AM going to watch those darn fireworks from the 15th floor viewing area at the Contemporary so I'll pay for it - plus it is special and we only go there once a year (I'd go more if I had the money lol) - I also abhore cooking - my room mate cooks (she is actually my best friend and Lindsay's "aunt" - we have known each other over 25 years) - and I do the cleaning. Works out well that way! I do bake though...but not as much as I did pre-child ha ha ha!
Well we always drive down to save funds BUT once I get there...I park that baby for 8 days - the car doesn't move LOL I'm just terrified of getting lost...silly I know! Beaches and Cream I'd love to try....We did the Grand Floridian dinner with Cinderella and the Prince and the Wicked Step Mom and sisters...that was fun and yummy! They really get into character if you want a good character meal! The Plaza in MK - nope! I'll have to research that. Is it CS or TS? If it's CS I can give it a go this time around. We are trying the Contemporary this time so that's a good one. Not Chef Mickey's though (CA Grill) - what do you think of Chef Mickey's? May take that in next year (lol what a planning maniac I am!)
Well duh that makes sense LISA! LOL Your name is Tomi - cute name! Palmer MS is off of Booth Road which is off of Shiloh Road....too many roads ha ha ha! So that is heading towards Marietta and Canton Hwy way....and then when she starts High School..she goes to North Cobb which is in a totally different direction - go figure! We figure Coral Reef for the ambiance and scenery definitely...pretty cool to eat with all the fishies!!! LOL Next year I need to try more meals at resorts...I just get scared I'll get lost LOL
I'm not sure where those townhomes are but room mate does - she knows pretty much everywhere....you are only a few miles away! Too funny! Lindsay goes to Palmer Middle School - 7th grade this year - yikes! LOL I haven't even eaten at the places mentioned (except 50's) so no clue but the chicken pot pie....I almost got that last year and opted for the pot roast which was very yummy! We too like trying different places each year - I mean there are SO many! The places we are going this year we haven't been before are Coral Reef and Liberty Inn (Epcot), Cosmic Rays and CA Grill (MK - although CA Grill is at the Contemporary LOL), Flame Tree BarBQ and Yak and Yeti...AK, Tangerine Cafe and Biergarten...Epcot again, and CRT inside the castle....I try to pick places we have not been each year....we do have a couple repeats like 50's and Sci Fi Drive In but that's about it! Ok heading to bed. 530 comes early. Enjoyed chatting tonight! Talk Soon. Lisa BTW - what IS your name??? LOL
That is just too funny! We obviously have the same Disney tastes! ha ha ha!!! Best meal - wow have been quite a few and I'm still taste testing! I can say i really liked Boma and Ohana's at AKL...and Teppan Edo in Japan at Epcot was yummy (but kind of loud) - favorite dessert. OMG my daughter and I got this brownie concoction at 50's Prime Time Cafe that was out of this world....lots of gooey and lots of chocolate LOL how about you? By the way, without giving me an actual address (lol) where in Kennesaw are you roughly? We actually live off of Pine Hill by the Cobb Beauty College.
Haven't seen Mickey's Philharmonic but want to! Haven't seen Fantasmic either but want too!! LOL Have seen Wishes (of course!), and Illuminations - Reflections of Earth at Epcot. That is just beautiful! Want to see Festival of the Lion King (and will this year if it kills me LOL), and Nemo.....wow I think that's it ha ha ha - what else is there??? LMAO!!! I guess I am show deprived also. I need to do something about that! LOL OH love Osborne Lights...LOVE LOVE LOVE it if you count 5 million christmas lights as a show :)
Well I have no degree either. At my age I just told prospective employers I have yearsssss of experience!!! LOL And it worked!! I have also found that actually going to an establishment in person vs just mailing or faxing a resume works much better..in fact I've known people who have actually landed jobs that way because of their initiative and such....I know you know all that but sometimes it helps to hear it from someone you don't know LOL You need to check the Disney website....It looks like they just came out with some extra discounts on the regular dining plan and the quickie one....I can't remember exactly except it still doesn't cover my dates LOL
Sorry your husbands hours were cut - I know it's not a good thing at all. I'm just glad I have a job, especially being a single mom! Best of luck finding something for yourself (what do you do if you don't mind me asking...maybe I have a lead or two) Favorite ride is Rock N Roller Coaster-I love cork screw coasters - faster the better -.which means Expedition Everest comes 2nd. Least favorite. & you'll probably cringe when I say it but it's Stitches Great Escape - LOL I just have no use for it--Astro Orbitor I have never been on but it looks cool. The Poly - I've heard it's absolutely gorgeous. I was checking the touring plans crowd calendar for my dates (11/20 - 11/27) & the numbers are from 1 - 10--10 being most crowded. Mine are down alot from last year-.a 3 on Saturday--.5's on Sunday and Monday--.8's Tues., Wed. & Thurs. & a 6 Friday--.which means it's probably a pretty good shot some type of discount will come out so fingers crossed and I HOPE you guys can swing the Poly!
Hey I hear ya! LOL I need to be a bit flexible...most times we wind up not doing the counter service meals....grab a snack instead and hold out for the table service meal LOL But I do like my plan of sorts for sure! We are currently booked into All Star Movies....IF I get a PIN or a discount comes out, I'm moving to Port Orleans French Quarter - I am absolutely dying to stay in a moderate and this is the one I want!!! How about you?
Sounds like alot of your dining are at resorts I think? We haven't been brave enough to take in those treks yet. Just Ohana's & Boma but both at AKL of course! That is about as brave as we have gotten. I don't think we've done a signature - that's along the lines of LeCellier & such correct? We also try & do several new ones a year-.actually as many as we can fit & maybe 1 of our faves. It's fun trying new places! And we always go with some sort of plan in mind. Since I do base tickets - I already know what park i'm doing each day, the open & close times, where we are doing a TS & where we are doing CS (if we eat a counter service that day - depends on the hunger level & time of our special TS) - show times, ADR's, confirmation numbers, etc I'm a bit !!! LOL Plus I use the Touring Plans website. If you don't have access to it & want to know how crowded it will be on your dates, the best park for those dates and the worst....just let me know and I'll check it out for you!
