Cumberland...I'm such a research nut I go into chamber of commerces wherever I have an inkling to visit & have them send me brochures/vacation planners...I have tons & that's how I find out about it! Plus Fernandina Beach is around there & thru work, our outage dept is in the area alot so I asked the Mgr. here at work....he said it's beautiful!

Looks like we are in for a rocky next few days...starting tomorrow I think. 1/2" & then 3-5" of snow - say what??? LMAO! yes you heard it right here!!!!!!!!! Although I'm sure you are monitoring the news. As long as the power stays on we'll be ok. If it goes off, we'll be screwed because some nut removed the fireplace from this house & built in like a tv shelf/bookcase thingy....so no fireplace!

Best part of all this weather...we have a 7a.m. dept. mtg. monday morning. I have to leave, go pick up breakfast by 7 and have it set up -well hard to do if you can't get out to drive! lol

I think about it everyday, too. There's just so many things I associate with WDW, that it's hard to not think about it sometimes! To be honest, we love WDW so much that they could not add anything new for five years and we'd still go...how bad is that?

Yes it is! Down around Camden County/Brunswick area. The hotel we are staying at isn't on the island. You actually have to take a 45 minute ferry ride to the island. It's protected with wild horses, turkeys, armadillos and such! Only a certain amount of people are allowed on the island each day and the ferry only goes there 2x a day - cool huh?

Your pendant sounds absolutely beautiful! I hope you sincerely enjoy it and wear it proudly. I feel he put alot of thought into it..which is nice because that means he's romantic! LOL

Hopefully work is being easy on you. Any chance they'll take you on permanently and full time?

LOL Oh no! Hopefully you can retain the Disney magic long enough until August! Do you give yourself a daily dose of Disney until you get there?

I hope I make good use of it- my old camera was images away from biting the dust, but at least it was durable.

Woo-hoo! I'm very excited for your vacation as well. For some reason, I always enjoy reading about food at WDW, so I can see where you're coming from there. If you're 256 days away, that means we must be less than 240 days away! Yikes, that seems so close now. Are your kids and husband getting more excited?

AL is always good to go to and you had family there also so that is great! Glad you had a good time and family time and some TIME OFF! lol

Everyone I know got those darned Kindles - they must be THE thing! or Nooks. I think there are something called Nooks that do the same thing. Your pendant sounds lovely! Is it like on a necklace then? dumb question i'm sure LOL but you never know....so I'm asking!

Work was work -ugh. Got my review so that was good. Asked for a buck an hour...got 75cents. Hell I'll take it. My review was awesome and he said company wide was only 3%...He got me 4.1 so I was happy!

Linds has chosen Cumberland Island over Memorial Day (her birthday is 5/25) for her 13th birthday big present. Found an adorable Inn called Cumberland Inn and Suites and booked it for only $71/night!!! And it's a beautiful hotel - yeah!

Happy new year to you as well! Glad to hear your New Years went great...we haven't had a bonfire in too long a time. Some family friends came over and they lit up some firecrackers, but thankfully nothing went on fire, to my relief.

Nice on the Kindle! We got our mom one, she seemed to enjoy it despite having some trouble with it early on. The pendant sounds beautiful! Sounds like you had a very successful Christmas.

Our New Year was good, we had some family friends over, but there always comes a point with visitors that you just want them out of your house LOL. Thankfully, they got along with my dogs as well, who were quite well behaved.

Now I'm even more excited to head to WDW- my extended family pitched in to get me a Canon Rebel- so my pictures at Disney will turn out much nicer. I was not planning on getting a camera, so like you I didn't think I'd be getting more than one "big gift". Things have a way of working themselves out!

Linds JUST got done opening presents - she is in Twilight heaven LOL and was happy with everything so that is good!! I actually got something from "Mickey" LOL A little dancing Mickey with a snowglobe that sings - it's cute! It's for my Disney collection so is very cool! I got some other items also to include a visa gift card so thats great also!

Well, I hate to admit but I got the iPad. Of course this will be the last "big" thing I'll get for a while, but this should hold my attention span down long enough.

I'm told the choc. chip mint cookies have chocolate chip mints, but it'd be interesting to flavor the cookies mint. I never thought of that!

Sorry I've taken so long to reply, the last few days have been crazy, but now I get a few days' respite. How'd your wrapping go?

The iPad is simply amazing. Videos come out crystal-clear, though at this point for me I don't know if it'd be worth it (since I have an internet phone, an iPod that's usually on, etc.). But geez, the coolness factor is so incredible!

I only know a few songs by CCR, but the songs I've listened to, I really like. I'd just like to get a compilation of their work. Hmm, I don't have those Who songs. I do have two "greatest hits" albums; are you a big fan of them?

Yay a day off for you finally! lol And you can wrap to your hearts content! Friday will suck BUT then you are pretty much done with the hectic schedule for a while which is great! RELAX - Frankie goes to Hollywood (was that DHS by chance? LMAO! doubt it!!!! ha ha) GREAT band with a great song...one of my favorites!

I only have a couple things to get and both are at Walgreens....our company gives us xmas eve and xmas day off...but since xmas falls on saturday...we get thursday and friday off so yep i'm off too! LOL hopefully Linds will go in with sandy 1/2 a day and I can wrap tomorrow afternoon! Sandy's boss is an ...she has to work xmas eve too! Retail I understand - printing industry? Not so much! However back to the grind for me Monday....BUT I do get Friday off for NY Day so I can't complain lol

The funny thing about the iPad is that I always hated the concept, but then someone in my family purchased it and I saw how cool it really is! That'd be a great gift!

Now those sound very delicious. I could really go for a homeade chocolate chip mint cookie, too. Do you put nuts in your cookies or not? My family does it, but I can't say I always enjoy having them in there, though it does add some substance.

I'm so sorry they are working you to death! Unfortunately in retail - that seems to be the way of life. But it's money and money is money or so they say! I do hope you get some much needed rest though real soon

So hubby works Christmas day and should be home by 630 I'm sure! Just spend the day enjoying the kids, watching the Disney Christmas Parade on TV (don't forget ya know lol), maybe all bake something together for dessert! If you can't find the buns you are looking for at Costco, try the Grands Cinammon Buns - YUMMY! Just as good I'm sure...OH there ya go! Bacon and buns LMAO! Way to start the day Tomi! lol

Yikes, what kinds of cookies? I could sure go for some now. Christmas is only in five days, it has come up entirely too quick! The season seems a lot shorter this year.

It's ok! I know you've been busy + The weather puts dampers here & there also! I took yesterday off to do my shopping. Left at 8 got home at 330 p.m. & I didn't really have that much!! Just many stores to find what I was looking for....1 item (I got sandy a snuggie at Walgreens for $15) I need to return & go buy at Kroger - it's only $9.99 there! Couldn't believe it. If Kroger had the Sponge Bob snuggie also, I'd be returning BOTH to Walgreens, going to Kroger & saving $10 LOL Anyways, don't have a ton of money left but need to get Linds that Fushigi or whatever that new motion ball is....since I spent over $25 at Walgreens, I got a $5 off coupon so it will only cost $15 ! Everything she wanted is "electronic" oriented so between Twilight this & that (ha) & DSi & Wi games...it pretty much fits into 2 bags BUT it's what she asked for!

Oh I didn't realize it was Amazon doing it for you. I noticed on amazon they list it as a pre-order..but I'm sure Barnes & Noble will be able to handle it for you. Thanks for the shopping wishes. With as early as I am going to be out and about...won't be too bad on the crowds thank goodness because I don't like crowds at all! Hard to believe given my Disney addiction LOL BUT those I prepare for ha ha!

the 3 of us worked out in the yard 6 hours today. We are wiped....we have a HUGEEE maple in our front yard, well when that thing drops its leaves (and it is a gorgeous tree mind you) it takes a long time to rake and bag them. We wound up with 17 bags of leaves - yikes! the BIG yard bags and then we decorated. Icicle lights hanging from the gutters across the front of the house, green lights in the windows with snowflakes, light up candy canes up the walk in front of the house and our 3 light up moving reindeer LOL and nope, we aren't done yet!

I hope you find it there! The thing with us is that we have a Barnes and Noble within five minutes of us, but no other bookstore for maybe a half hour or so. But I think calling first is a wise idea. By the way, did your B&N recently have the movies/dvd's section removed? Ours did and it took us by total surprise.

LOL Well cats do have a penchant for making things interesting, and making me break out into allergies. Some cats are very funny, have you had your cat play with the laser pointer yet?

I guess "haven't started yet" is the best way to describe my shopping, but I have plans to, hopefully tomorrow if I'm not still sick. I just took some Nyquil so I don't think I have much time awake left.

Has your cat climbed into your Christmas tree yet? I noticed some cats are pretty mischevious but others are pretty sedentary.
