  • Thanks for letting me know what you thought! Im happy to hear I am not the only one who had those feelings! I say save up and go to WDW!!! although I do think staying on site in DL would probably help a little bit, but I doubt it would make up enough to be comparable to the awesomeness that is WDW :) IMO of course!!! Im glad you still enjoyed yourself though! It is nice to be able to say that you went even if you still favor WDW!!
For some reason I just now saw this message from you! Me and my DH went to DLR for 2 days and I just didnt get that "feeling" from being there... I'm thinking part of the reason why we didnt find is as amazing as WDW was because it was gay days and it was just packed with red shirts. The few things that did stand out as better to me were space moutnain (it was the halloween overlay at the time) and Pirates. Other than that, there wasn't anything that made me feel the disney love. We did sooo much by using the FP's and such, but we never really had that feeling that we get from WDW. I think not being taken out of the "real world" really affected us. I mean, it was awesome to be able to experience the "original" but it was nothing to us except another theme park. I hate to say it like that! Don't get me wrong though, we did have a great time! its just that to us, the entire time we compared it to WDW and in our opinion, it really can't compare! If you have any other questions ask away!
I started it!!! THe trip title in Great Weather + Low Crowds + Free Dining= One Great Disney Vacation! Check it out!!!
Thanks. I know it can be exhausting...DC traffic dif sucks...lol...so yes, we are looking forward to a break...i didnt even mention my husbands schedule...
Yay! You are so going to love Food & Wine. The Sam Adams presentation is a lot of fun. Each year we always hit up a lot of the complimentary wine/culinary seminars that are, as of this year, no longer complimentary. I think they cost $8 pp now, so that's unfortunate. If your hubby prefers beer to wine (I LOVE BOTH!), he'll be able to find some really good beers at the kiosks. One suggestion I do have is to enjoy WS early; it will get crazy in the evenings, esp. weekends. You might also want to check out the "eat to the beat" concert series and see who is playing. It's usually a pretty decent line up. All Ears has the dates. Be sure to pick up a guide when you enter the park; it'll tell you which chefs/wineries are presenting. Again, I don't know how it will be this year with the $8 charge for all that used to be complimentary. The Wonders of Life pavilion is the hub for most presentations, plus they have a merch area and wine tastings there. I can't wait to read your trip report!!
