  • That's terrible! I hope you can work it all out. Like you, I think I would keep my WDW vacation above all others but hopefully you won't have to cancel your Myrtle Beach vacation. As for your superiors (usually the WRONG name for people who make decisions, IMO) you go get'em!

Weren't the ovens in Via Napoli cool? Very Disney. If you do get a chance to eat there I'll be very interested to hear what you think and how you liked it.

Went to the Meet & Greet and had even more stuff to get for Sean's supplies. Then lost a $20 bill I got to get the PTA membership, agenda and t-shirt. So had to put that off till later. Ugh, not a great day today. Still have Tristan's M&G later today.
Oh, I misread your message. That's a shame, but maybe, like you said, they'll extend it till Dec. like they did with the free dining. Did you see the photos of Via Napoli? Oh man, I can't wait to go there. I love Italian food, it's my favorite!
That's great! I got some good deals at Target and JC Penny. I bought a few things earlier, too, so they're set. How did you do on supplies? For the two we spent $75! I couldn't believe it when I added it up. Middle school is the most difficult time with kids, I've heard it gets easier once they get into HS. Geez, I hope so, Tristan is so moody sometimes, LOL.

Does Lindsay want to be home for Christmas? I get that, but then I also think it would awesome to wake up on Christmas morning at WDW!! More than awesome. I had read about AK being the hottest park. I think I read it in Passporters and it was a warning because you spend the most time outdoors at AK than in any other park. I lived that reality that day, lmao!
Omg, low to mid-70's sounds perfect!! I wish it was that cool when we go! We had one day last year that I felt like I was actually melting. It was the day we were at AK. Ugh. But, of course, we were at Disney so it wasn't too bad. It's been so hot here lately, too. I've been out shopping for school clothes, shoes and supplies. I'll be so glad when autumn is finally here. Like you, I'm not a hot weather person at all. Maybe someday we'll go at Christmas.
Same here... My husband was Army. I am from Illinois but have lived from the east to the west. I have beenin Georgia for 17 years and have been told I definitely twang. hahahaha
What's the weather like when you go? It's still hot and humid in late Sept. We've gone at the same time for each trip and next year will be no exception. I had wanted to go in Jan. or Feb. but the dates I was looking at was still peak and we always go during the value period.
Okay this is getting weird now. My dad and DH are both from TX. We lived in AL for a couple of years and that's where my older son was born in Ozark. I also have family that lives there now. I, too, lived on an island though in the opposite direction - Dutch Harbor, AK. I'm 42 (43 in Sept.). I so hope you get to stay in POFQ, you will enjoy it. It will be wonderful for you to get the discount. Last year I called to get the free dining applied and put the refund towards spending money! That was awesome. Well I'll count down the days with your for your trip! LOL.
Hi there! I'm in Kennesaw and officially (today) I have 114 also! I'm staying at AS Movies...which one are you staying at? I LOVE Disney! LOL
Hi - I noticed on the "How Many Days" thread that you were from Georgia (me too - Douglasville) and staying at AS (me too) and had 115 days left (I have 114). I just wanted to say from one Georgian to another - I hope you have as much fun as I plan to have! :)
We certainly have a lot in common. Though I grew up in NJ one of my best friends lives in Acworth! So, we see each other as often as we can. Did you grow up around here? I've met more people from other places than people that grew up here! Depending on what DP we use next year I think we will also do a signature dining. It seems so far away, but I know time slows down for nothing and it will be here before I know it. Your trip (to me) seems right around the corner. Does it feel that way for you? I'll be anxious and happy to see your trip report.
We've eaten at Chef Mickey's breakfast buffet only but it was enjoyable both years we've done it. We really liked the Concourse Steakhouse before they closed it, we were pretty disappointed. I'm not sure what the Plaza is, I'll have to check it out myself. We've never eaten at the CA Grill, the food looks fancy, like things I see on the Food Network! Lol, I love that channel and watch a bunch of shows off it but I do not like to cook. If you go to Beaches & Cream don't wait for a table, eat at the counter because you can most likely get there first. Plus, it's fun to watch them make the ice cream sundaes and such. We did that and had a lot of fun, along with enjoying the food and ice cream.
Better to eat with the fishes than sleep with the fishes!! lol, I'm so corny. Anyway, you definitely should try some of the resort restaurants, there are some great ones. The biggest hurdle is finding your way through the transportation, unless you drive. We always take the transportation. Most everything you can get from the TTC, unless you're leaving a park then you can go to any hotel from there. My DH loves the Cape May Clam Bake (if you like seafood) at the Beach and Beaches & Cream there is terrific, as well. Have you ever eaten at the Plaza in MK? I was thinking of eating there next time and understand it's a nice but little hole-in-the-wall off Main St?
Lol, my name is Tomi. The "Rocket" part is a nickname friends called me years ago, lol. Funny, but I don't think I know where Palmer MS is either! My son Sean is starting 4th grade and my older son Tristan is starting 8th! I just can't believe he's in 8th. But what really weirds me out is when we go to WDW next year Tristan will be in HS (!!) and Sean will be in his last year of ES. sigh.....
Anyway, We've eaten at Coral Reef in '05 when it was still a signature dining. Back then my DH got the steak & lobster. I don't think that's on the menu anymore though. It's a fabulous atmosphere though, we all enjoyed it. And the only other one we've been to is Cosmic Rays. The food was pretty good. I think that was also from '05! There are so many restaurants sometimes it kind of makes me want to not repeat but then the places we go back to are places we loved.
I totally know where you are talking about! We live off of Cobb Pkwy in the townhouses across from the Ace Hardware store. My kids go to Hayes ES and Pine Mountain MS. Okay, favorite meal, well, I loved the noodle bowl that I got at Kona Cafe last time, it was soooo good. Also the chicken pot pie from the 50's was delicious, my son loved it too. My absolute favorite dessert ever, not just at WDW, was the Sticky Toffee Pudding I had at the Rose & Crown Pub. My mouth still waters when I think of it. It's funny we haven't been to two restaurants you mentioned yet! I love trying all the restaurants though.
Forgot about Illuminations and Wishes. Love them both and it's weird, the very two shows you mentioned Lion King and Nemo were the two I wanted to see so badly last year and we never did! I'm hoping to see at least one next year. I won't even bother trying to see any princess shows because there is no way I'll get my guys to do that, lol. Oh well, I'll just keep making ADR's at character meals and making them get their picture taken with all the princesses who come by, lmao! You'll love Philharmagic and Fantasmic, they're both so fun to watch. We missed Fantasmic last year and I wasn't very happy but we'll make it next year. What's the best meal you've had? Or dessert?
Thanks for your advice. I'm starting today, my job search. I took the kids to the pool over the weekend. You don't like Stitch's Great Escape? LOL, I enjoy it but I get why people wouldn't like it. I think it's one of those you either love or hate! I agree with you Astro Orbiter looks cool, it just isn't, lol. Don't waste your time. What shows do you like? We haven't really seen any except Fantasmic. I've wanted to but we never end up seeing any. Well, I don't know if you count Mickey's Philharmagic, we have seen that and we all enjoy that show.
