  • Thanks for the encouragement, Jeff. I hope I did the right thing. What better to do when business is the slowest ever...
Hey, I just pulled the trigger on the E-3...and I think I might throw up...I need somebody to talk me down... This is a good thing, right?
I'll have to check the latest numbers on our team planning page. I'll let you know.
brkgnews and Matpez - I hope all is well and look forward to catching up with you guys at the end of the September for the World Wide Weekend event.
EPCOT Explorer - You are very welcome re: all the photos. As you can probably tell my photos EPCOT Center is my favorite of the 4 parks.
Bgoebel - thanks for the kind words on the photos. Reading definitely helps - I have read a number of photography books and unfortunately there is no definitive guide to good photography that tells you all. Since film is free in the digital world definitely go out and practice. Lastly, take multiple shots when you can (adjusting the exposure and or the composition) it will increase your chance of getting that winning shot. Certainly feel free to PM me if you have any specific questions.
Sorry for not responding to the messages here. I almost never check this page, didn't actually realize its here. I am alot better at responding at PM.

WDWFigment - Thanks. The spectromagic pictures would have been shot with 400 speed film which is why there is no EXIF data. I am almost certain that I would have shot them using a 50MM 1.8 lens and probably put the camera in Arpeture Priority mode at around F3.5 and tried to achieve a shutter speed of atleast 1/50 of a second. If you are pretty close to the floats they do kick off quite a bit of light which will help get your arpeture value for F4 if not larger. I think 1/20th will be to slow.
    Jeff,
I notice you have some good pictures of SpectroMagic in your flickr album, but none of the photos have the EXIF data. Any suggestions for what settings would be ideal? I'm thinking maybe 1/20th exposure, f/5.3, ISO 1600. Just wondered what you might have had success using. Thanks!
Love your photos.I'm beginning with my canon xti to figure out the art of photography. Any tips? I just purchased the rebel field guide but it's a daunting task.
